“Nakapili na ba kayo kung sino ang mga kasali sa entourage nyo, yung mga ninong at ninang napag-usapan nyo na ba?” Chloe asked
“Wait lang Chloe, you are getting excited here, let me remind you that this is just an arrange marriage, kahit sino pwedeng maging part ng entourage” I said
“But according to sir Ricky, hindi pwedeng lumabas na parang arrange marriage ‘to, therefore you need to choose those people close to you to be part of the entourage. The best man and the maid of honor are the closest to the bride and groom. Madalas best friend nila.” Chloe explained
"I don't have a bestfriend" I said
"What????? Ganyan na ba talaga kasama ang ugali mo para kahit isang kaibigan wala ka?" RJ reacted
"My bestfriend died almost four years ago. Hukayin mo kung gusto mong sya ang maging maid of honor ko" I sarcastically said
"Let's do that if you want a halloween theme for our wedding" RJ sarcastically answered back. Bwisit talaga 'tong anak araw na 'to
“Fine, I’ll talk to my friends kung pwede sila. But I only have two girl friends whom I consider closest to me now. Yung iba bahala na lang kayo, sagot ko na yung dalawang kaibigan ko” I told Chloe to end the discussion.
“Ok Maine, piliin mo na lang sa kanilang dalawa kung sino ang maid of honor mo. Then we will include the other on sa secondary sponsors or bridemaids. Maybe we could include your siblings sa entourage para hindi na rin tayo mahirap” Chloe suggested
“We could include my sister Rizza, si Kuya RD sana ang gusto kong best man kaya lang hindi ko alam kung papayagan sya ni Lolo na pumunta sa kasal” RJ said
“Then let me know RJ, para magawan natin ng paraan” Chloe said
“I’ll just give you my list for the bestman and groomsmen as well as yung sa mga male secondary sponsors. For the ninong ang ninang let Daddy and Tito Teddy handle that. I'm sure Lolo will get involved too so hayaan na lang natin sila” RJ said
“We need to have a target date on when to complete the list of the entourage para ma-set natin kung kelan natin sila pwedeng i-meet” Chloe said
“Why do we still have to meet them, after I tell them and they accepted the part ok na yun di ba?” I said
“We need to meet them so that they could block their schedule for fittings and rehearsals” Chloe explained
“Do we really need to do that?” I asked
“Yes and I know you will cooperate as well as your friends because you don’t want sir Ricky and Sir Teddy to be disappointed right Nicomaine?” Chloe said
“Fine” I said in surrender to the discussion
“Thank you, moving on, may nakausap na akong gagawa ng wedding gown mo, let me know when do you want to meet him para makapag set ako ng appointment. Yung suit mo RJ, si Sir Ricky na raw ang bahala. Wait, ano ba ang gusto mo barong o suit RJ?” Chloe asked
“Ano sa tingin mo Maine, ano ang mas bagay sa akin, barong o suit?” RJ asked me.
“I have not seen you in suit nor in barong so I guess I cannot help you with that” I seriously replied
“Can you at least share your idea, I am asking nice here, I hope you noticed that” RJ sarcastically said
“And I am being honest here Faulkerson Jr., how can I share my view if I don’t have any idea at all. Can you just tell us kung saan ka mas komportable. Para sa akin what you’re wearing will only look good on you if you are comfortable wearing it. Pwede na bang opinion yun?” I said
“I’ll go with barong Chloe. This is a formal event, if I choose suit, I’m sure it will be a three layered suit. I will not be comfortable wearing it for three hours the least” RJ said. Alam naman pala nya kung ano ang gusto nya, nagtatanong pa.
“I’ll take note of that RJ” Chloe said
“How about you Maine, anong design ng gown ang gusto mo?” Chloe asked and I got stunned because I am not prepared for that kind of questions.
“None” I briefly replied
“None, as in wala?” Chloe suprisedly asked and I saw a smirk from Faulkerson Jr.
“Yes as in wala, wala naman talaga eh. In those formal events that my family were required to attend, my mother chooses the gown for me. Isusuot ko na lang” I said
“But this is your wedding, this is different from those formal events that your family were attending” Chloe said
“I disagree Chloe, this wedding is just like those parties that we attended. Parehong hindi ko gusto pero kailangang puntahan ko” I said
“If that’s the case maybe we can consider a ready-to-wear wedding gown. Pipili ka na lang, you don't have to think about the style anymore” Chloe suggested
“No problem, I can go with you in Divisoria, ang daming magagandang gown dun” I said
“I have nothing against buying your gown in Divisoria, pero wag naman sana dun, kasi siguradong mapapagalitan ako ni Sir Ricky at Sir Teddy” Chloe said compromising as she saw that I am getting pissed-off with the discussion about my wedding gown alone.
“Magaganda naman ang mga gown sa Divisoria, mura pa” I said
“I know that Maine, but please understand that my business is at stake here kapag hindi ko sinunod si Sir Ricky at Sir Teddy” Chloe pleaded
At since sinabi na nya ang magic word which is ang pangalan ng Tatay ko, I have to compromise with Chloe. “Ganito na lang Chloe” I began “Choose three designs that you think na babagay sa akin, I will decide from there. Wag mo lang ipilit na sabihin ko kung ano ang style na gusto ko kasi hindi ko talaga alam dahil hindi ko naman iniisip yan” I said
“I guess mas fair naman yun, sige ako na lang ang bahalang pumili ng style” Chloe said
“I’m sorry kung nahihirapan ka ha. Thank you for your patience Chloe” I told her
“Ok lang naman ako Maine, honestly naiintindihan ko ang sitwasyon mo. Nakakawalang gana naman talagang gawin ang mga bagay na hindi mo naman gusto pero kailangan mong gawin” Chole said. “Buti na lang hindi ko naranasan ang ganyang sitwasyon” she added
“Congratulations Chloe, wala kang tatay at lolo na katulad ng meron ako” I said
“Yeah you are such a lucky individual because you get to marry the one that you love” Richard said
“Eh di mag-back-out ka na” I said
“Ikaw nakaisip, eh di ikaw ang mag-back-out” Richard sarcastically replied
“I think I’m gonna enjoy working with you guys, kahit alam kong papasakitin nyo ang ulo ko. Ang dami kong kilig sa inyo eh mas marami pa kesa dun sa mga nagpapakasal ng tutoo” Chloe said
“Shut up Chloe, you don’t know what you’re saying” I said while Faulkerson Jr. beams widely
