Richard's POV
This feeling is still surreal as I stands at the window of the nursery room staring at my twin boys, peacefully asleep like their Mom. Maine delivered the twin boys three minutes apart at around nine in the evening. My wife gave birth exactly on our first wedding anniversary.
As I recall 365 days ago, I was standing at the altar waiting for the woman I was set to marry because of a certain promise. As my beautiful bride walks down the aisle that day I made a promise to myself that the moment I held her hand I will never let go. As she said earlier, this relationship is not a bed of roses, the journey is not easy but I do not want to be with anybody else in the same journey but her alone.
As I walk to Maine's room in the hospital, I could not suppressed my tears. Today, God showered me with his abundant blessings. And I promised to take care of these precious family that he entrusted to me.
Maine is still asleep when I went inside the room. The Mendozas and Faulkersons decided to leave after ensuring Maine's safe delivery. Both families, do not want to disturb Maine as they know how tiring it was for her to delivery two beautiful and healthy baby boys.
As I stare my sleeping wife, I felt how much I loved her more now. For me she is the bravest woman I ever met not only on the tracks more so in life's ups and downs. I will forever be grateful because I am too fortunate to have her as the mother of my children.
It was already almost nine in the morning when Maine wakes up. I sae how tired she is still but she were able to give me the sweetest smile early in the morning.
"Good morning Mommy Meng" I greated
"Good morning Daddy RJ" she greeted back
"How are feeling Mendoza Girl?" I asked
"Happy, finally nakita ko na yung kambal, they so adorable" she replied. "Congratulations" she suddenly added
"I should be the one to congratulate you, for being so brave in delivering the boy through normal delivery" I said and I am very curious on what she is talking about
"No, I should congratulate you because you did not passed out" she said chuckling
"Grabe ka sa akin" I said
"Where is Celestine?" she then asked
"Malapit na silang dumating, nagtext na si Nanay, in ten minutes nandito na daw sila" I replied
"Anong oras dadalhin yung kambal dito?" she asked then
"They are just waiting for the pediatrician, maya maya lang pwede na nating kargahin yung mga anak natin. Si Dra. Sanchez, nag-rounds lang maya-maya nandito na rin yun" I excitedly replied.
We are in that state when our families arrived, hindi ako nagkamali, tama lang na yung pinakamalaking suite room ang kinuha ko dahil laki ng pamilya namin.
"Daddy ... Mommy ...." Celestine excitedly said. I took her up so she could be able to kiss Maine . She sat beside me
"Where are the Richard number three and Richard number four Mommy?" Celestine asked
"Why Richard number three and four baby?" Nanay Mary asked
Celestine walks towards my Dad and pokes him "Richard number one" she said then walks towards me and pokes me too "Richard number two and the twins are Richard number three and Richard number four" she explained
"Yonnnnn, sabi na nga ba panalo ang Richard III at Richard IV" Dean said
"Wag kang magbunyi Dean, yan lang ang sinabi ni RJ kay Celestine para hindi sya kulitin kasi hindi pa sya nakakaisip ng ipapangalan sa kambal" Maine objected
