Richard's POV
I don't want the issue about Patrick to ruin our night, I don't want my preparation to go to waste. I only got less than ten hours to prepare for our first date therefore I was not able to get a decent restaurant reservation.
It was only this morning that we got a call from Maine's parents requesting Celestine to go to Bulacan because they wanted to bring her to their friend's party, a children's party actually. Maine could not say no to Tatay Teddy because until now they treated Tatay Teddy's words as a command and not as a request. She was not able to object as well when Tatay told us that Celestine will be spending the night with them. Therefore we immediately drove ourselves to Bulacan to bring Celestine there.
On our way there, I start thinking on how to make this night special, since tonight this is the first night that we will be sleeping in our room without Celestine. Well, since that night that we were supposed to play a game. I texted on my secretary to find me place where I could bring Maine and have a romantic date with her, but until we reach home from Bulacan she were not able to find a place for me.
Maine decided to spend her idle time in the tracks so I brought her to Cavite for her abrupt practice. I did not oppose to her since I realized that it could give me time to prepare for this sudden romantic date.
Since I was not able to find a place where I could rent a place exclusively for the two of us, I thought that our house will be the perfect place for it. I went back home as soon as I brought her to Cavite for her motocross practice and asked our cook to prepare a special dinner for two and gave her an extra amount of money for her and the other helper to have their early day off and requested them to just come back the next morning. I wanted this night to be special because this is the first time that the house is ours alone.
"Pati ba ang mga maid nalungkot na wala dito si Celestine kaya tahimik ang bahay" Maine asked as we enter the house and I just smile at her. "Gutom ka na ba? Ipapahanda ko na ang dinner" she added
"Tayo lang dalawa lang ang tao dito ngayon" I told her and she throw a stare at me as if saying that she does not believe me. "Go and check on them if you don't believe me" I said
"Nasaan sila?" she suprisely asked
"Pinag day-off ko" I replied
"What? Bakit mo pinag-day off eh Friday dapat labhan yung mga uniform ni Celestine para bukas ironing na lang" she said
"Advance lang naman yung day-off, bukas pwede silang maglaba at sa Sunday magplansta. Kung hindi magagawa yun, ibibili ko ng bagong uniform si Celestine" I said
"Bili ka nang bili, mayaman ka kasi eh kaya walang nasa isip kundi gastos" she replied
"Mas mayaman ka kesa sa akin pero ang kuripot mo" I said "Teka nga, pwede ba tigilan na nating 'tong pagtatalo na 'to, sayang ang gabi at preparation ko" I said
"Preparation para saan?" she asked
"For a romantic date natin, we haven't had that since we got married" I replied
"Romantic date? In my jeans and white shirt? Shouldn't I be in a pretty little black dress at least?" she asked
"It doesn't matter whatever you are wearing, ang importante masaya tayong magkasama" I said
"O sige nga Richard Faulkerson, Jr. let's see the preparation that you are bragging about" she said
"Don't expect too much, I only have less than ten hours to prepare for this" I said
