Maine's POV
As mentioned by Dr. Sanchez, I can already feel that I am in my last trimester of pregnancy. Aside from the fast weight gain, I am beginning to feel the discomfort in my pelvis and abdomen. But once I feel the babies movement all those discomforts were immediately erased.
According to Dra. Sanchez, this is also the stage when the babies distinguish sound such as music and of course our voices. Therefore RJ and Celestine never get tired of talking to the babies every minute of the day.
“Good morning buddies, daddy will be going out for work. Don’t give Mommy a hard time” are the usual words of RJ every morning before he goes off to work.
“Hello babies, good morning, I love you” is Celestine’s daily morning greetings for the twins plus a sweet kiss on my tummy.
My visit to Dra. Sanchez changes from every 4 weeks to every 2 weeks. Celestine’s excitement for the babies arrival is very evident. She is always by my side, humming nursery rhymes for the babies. Everytime she arrives home from school, she never fails to tell the babies her activities for the day.
“Look babies, Ate Celestine got two stars for today. I got the first star because I was able to name all the shapes and colors. The second star is when I lead the classmates in reading the alphabet” Celestine brags one day.
“Ohhh, I’m so proud of you Ate Celestine” I told her
“When the babies goes to school, I will help you to teach them the alphabet, Mommy” Celestine said
“That is so sweet of you Ate Celestine. I’m sure the babies will have more stars too like you” I said.
“I promise to help you taking care of the babies Mommy” Celestine sweetly uttered.
“Thank you baby, you made mommy very happy. I know that you will be a responsible elder sister to the twins. And I want you to always remember that Mommy and Daddy loves you so much and that love will not change even if the twins have arrived” I replied and gave her a tight hug when I suddenly felt a kick from inside. “Ahhh, oh my goodness babies that was a hard kick” I uttered
“Are you alright Mommy, do you want me to call Daddy?” Celestine worriedly asked
“I’m fine baby, I just felt the baby’s kick” I said. I grab Celestine’s little hand and place it on my tummy. “Feel them Ate Celestine, they are moving” I said. Celestine’s eyes widen as she not only felt the movement but she actually saw the babies moving in my tummy.
“They heard me Mommy” Celestine excitedly said
“Yes they did, and I am sure they are happy to hear that you will help me in taking care of them when they arrive” I said
“When can we see the babies Mommy?” Celestine asked
“We still have to wait for a few more weeks baby” I replied
“And that will not be long enough Ate Celestine” we both heard RJ’s voice
“Daddy!” Celestine exclaimed
“What are you doing here? You are supposed to be at work Faulkerson, Jr.” I said while RJ gave me a peck.
“I miss you, I miss Ate Celestine and I miss my buddies” RJ said then he gently rubs my tummy while in a tight hug with Celestine. “Mukhang nagpapakitang gilas kay Ate Celestine ah. Daddy is here too buddies” RJ said
I felt the twins are responding to RJ as we saw them slowly moving “Hello Daddy RJ” I said in a baby talk manner.
“Hala gising na gising ang kambal, mukhang gustong makipaglaro kay Daddy at kay Ate” RJ excitedly said. “Grabe na ang excitement ko sa kambal abot na sa Mt. Fuji” RJ said
“Mt. Fuji agad, hindi man lang dumaan sa Mt. Apo” I said laughing
“Tingnan mo oh galaw nang galaw nakakatuwa” RJ happily said. “Parang kilala na nila yung boses ko” he added
“Of course kilala na ng kambal ang boses mo, pati na yung sa akin at kay Ate Celestine. Sabi ni Dra. Sanchez, this is the stage na naririnig na nila tayo” I explained
“This is really an awesome miracle. And I will never stop thanking God for this gifts” RJ said
“Me too Love, God has been giving us too many blessings to thank for” I replied
“Konti na lang babies, malapit na namin kayong makita” RJ said
“What shall I call them Daddy? Have you thought of the babies names?” Celestine asked
“Not yet baby, do you have any suggestion?” RJ asked
“Your Daddy’s name is Richard, your name is Richard, we can name the babies Richard too” Celestine said and RJ got mum while I laughs out loud
“Walang kahirap-hirap sa pag-iisip ah baby. Aren’t we overflowing with Richard in the family?” I asked
“That’s what I have in mind too. Wag mo nga masyadong pinapakiusap ‘tong si Celestine kay Dean, baka mapunta talaga tayo sa Richard III and IV” RJ said
“So ayaw mo na may Richard ang name ng kambal?” I naughtily asked because I know RJ wanted the twins to have his name kaya lang nakahiyaan na lang nya kasi inaalaska sya during the gender reveal dinner. Feeling ko nga kung hindi kambal ang ipinagbubuntis ko malamang may Thirdy na ang pamilyang ‘to.
“Ikaw ba ok lang sa yo?” he asked as if gauging if I am fine with such idea. Sabi ko na nga ba eh, he wanted the twins to have his name.
“Whatever you think is best for the babies, ok lang sa akin. You are the Daddy, I am giving you full priviledge to name my twin boys” I replied
“Bahala na, I’ll let you know kapag decided na ako. I wanted you to like the names of the babies of course” RJ said
“Are we naming the babies, Richard too, Daddy?” Celestine asked
“Not yet baby” RJ replied. Did I hear it right, not yet daw, so ibig sabihin tama ang hunch ko na may chance na isama nya talaga ang pangalan nya sa name ng babies.
“You have to decided fast Faulkerson, Jr., baka naman nakapanganak na ako eh wala pa tayong ipangalan sa mga anak natin” I said
“Pressure talaga Mendoza Girl?” RJ asked
“Ano ba kasi ang mahirap sa pagbigay ng pangalan?” I asked
“Ayoko naman ng basta kung anong pangalan na lang ang ibigay sa mga anak ko, syempre gusto ko yung magugustuhan din nila paglaki nila” RJ explained
“I understand, pero bakit ba nagpapakahirap ka pa kasi sa pag iisip? Bumalik ka sa chapter 77, mamili ka dun, maraming magagandang suggestions yung mga readers, isa-isahin mo” I suggested
“Meron bang nagsuggest na may Richard ang name?” RJ asked
“Meron, pero siguraduhin mo na hindi ka biased” I said
