Maine's POV
I know I’ve done this before but I can’t explained why am I more excited in buying for some baby stuff than when I was doing this for Celestine. Maybe because, this for my own child. Please don’t get me wrong, being Celestine’s mother is one of the best thing that happens in my life but I have to admit that having a child of my own gives a different adrenaline to do some stuff like shopping.
Nanay Mary has been opposing on buying stuff for the baby. She keeps on nagging that we need to know the gender of the baby before we proceed with purchasing baby stuff. But I could not help myself to pass by a baby store whenever I go to the mall. I always get fascinated with baby booties, bodysuits, blankets, sweaters and so much more. And nothing can stop me from purchasing all of them for my baby
“Where are you?” RJ asked from the other line and I can sense that he is not happy that I am out.
“At the mall, buying some baby stuff. I can’t wait for you and Celestine to see these” I replied calmly
“Alone?” he asked at nakikini-kinita ko na kung gaano nakakunot ang noo ng asawa kong anak araw
“Yes, I am alone. I don’t want to bring Celestine kasi maiinip lang yun” I explained
“Simula nung nagbuntis ka mas lalong tumigas ang ulo mo eh” RJ fiercely uttered
“Ok lang ako Love, mag uber na lang ako ulit pag-uwi, I’ll be fine don’t worry about me” I said
“Wait for me, pupuntahan kita dyan, text me where exactly are you?” he asked
“No need Love, malapit nang mag rush hour, baka matagalan ka pang makapunta dito sa Makati from BGC” I said
“I am not in my office now, nasa Salcedo Village lang ako. Wait for me” RJ said and hangs up. Lagot na ako mamaya, siguradong sesermunan ako ng asawa kong anak araw dahil tumakas na naman ako.
I could not also understand myself, ayokong magstay sa bahay which was not so me. Before I got pregnant, the only time that I go out of the house was when I need to hit the tracks. Ngayon, ayokong tumigil sa bahay, inip na inip talaga ako. I even volunteered to bring Celestine at school and waits for her to finish her class para makalabas lang ako.
Now, I wanted to see more people, different kinds of people, people who are busy doing their own thing. I get fascinated whenever I see busy people. That’s why I love to stay at the mall. Dito sobrang dami ng taong nakikita ko, iba-ibang klaseng tao at tuwang-tuwa ako, ako na ang parang luka-luka.
It took thirty minutes before RJ reaches the mall, he begins complaining about the terrible traffic even it is not yet rush hour.
“Kung kelan ka nagbuntis, saka naman kumati yang mga paa mo sa paglaboy. Itatali na kita sa bahay para hindi ka na makatakas” RJ rants and it seems that he does not mind if the people around me hears him scolding his stubborn wife.
“I’m bored Faulkerson, Jr.” I replied “Wala akong ginagawa sa bahay, beside I need to meet up some clients for my on line business” I said further while checking on the baby stuff that I saw.
“You don’t do meet-up before Mendoza Girl, all stuff are shipped to your clients preferred address. Papano kung may gawing hindi maganda sa yo yung client mo? Ang lakas ng loob mong umalis mag-isa” RJ replied
“Don’t worry I only allow meet-ups for those clients that I know personally. Like today, I meet up with my high school schoolmate. Nag-iingat ako Faulkerson, Jr., I know how to take care of myself” I said “Which one do you think is cute, this one or this one” I asked and shows him the bodysuit that I am holding him
