Chapter 80 - Breakfast Chat

Richard's POV

Time flies too fast as we are two weeks away from the 365th day that Lolo have set for us to decide if Maine and I will pursue the annulment or not. And this also means that I have less than a month to prepare for our wedding anniversary. Mabuti na lang, we are expecting the babies to arrive in three weeks therefore we can still celebrate our first year anniversary.

I have to make that day very special. I am thinking of some kind of a proposal set-up, I know it's late but given a chance, I will do this even everyday, I will never get tired of asking Maine to stay with me for the rest of our lives. We haven't had a special date since we found out about her pregnancy. I miss going on a date with my wife Maine.

"Do you have plans on the sixteenth?" I asked her one morning while we are having our breakfast in our room because as much as possible I don't want Maine to take the stairs anymore therefore kung hindi rin lang kailangan, we prefer that she stays in the room.

"Wala naman, dito lang sa house. Ayoko nang laging lumabas kasi baka sa daan pa ako abutin ng panganganak, Bakit mo tinanong?" Maine asked

"Nakalimutan mo, nakakatampo ah" I replied

"Ang alin na naman? Anong meron sa 16th ... Oh my goodness .... Anniversary natin sa 16th. Grabe one year na pala tayo" she uttered

"Muntik na akong mag-walk out" I said while I continue chewing my food and I deliberately avoid looking at her. She stands up and wraps her arms around me from the back

"Wag nang magtampo, nawala lang saglit sa isip ko kasi lagi kong iniisip yung panganganak ko" she replied

I gently rubs her arms and kissed her hand. "It's alright, nagbibiro lang naman ako. Ako rin naman excited na sa panganganak mo" I said and taps her arms, signaling her to get back to her seat and continue her breakfast.

"Would you like to go on a date with me on the 16th Mendoza Girl? Bago ka man lang maging busy sa pag-aalaga ng kambal, spent sometime with me alone please" I sweetly asked

"You don't need to ask me Faulkerson, Jr., you know how much I love spending an alone time with you" she replied and I could not suppress myself to cupped her face and press my lips on hers.

"It's a date ha, baka bigla kang mag-cancel" I said

"I won't cancel it, ngayon pa nga lang excited na ko" she said. "So what's the plan? Where are you taking me?" she happily asked.

"Secret" was my brief reply because I have no concrete plan yet for this date

"You don't have a plan yet" she suddenly said na ikinasamid ko. Paano nya nalaman yun?

"Judgmental ka na naman" I said without looking at her eyes

"Look at me Faulkerson, Jr. then tell me what's your plan" she insisted

"I have a plan but it is not yet definite, kaya hindi ko pwedeng sabihin" I replied

"Kahit pa sabihin mo pa rin kahit not yet definite" she insisted

"Meron nga pero surprise pa" I said

"I knew it wala pa talagang plan" She insisted

"Wag kang makulit Mendoza Girl, matuto kang maghintay. Di ba ikaw na rin ang nagsabi na patience is a virtue. Two weeks lang naman ang ipaghihintay mo" I said. I really hope she buy that statement dahil kapag itinuloy pa nya ang pangungulit, malamang umamin akong wala pa talagang definite plan for the anniversary celebration

"Just make sure na dinner yan. May lunch tayo with the whole family that day, nakaset na yun 365 days ago pa" Maine said and it gave me a relief that she did not push the topic about my plan for the anniversary dinner.

"Do we still need that? Alam naman na natin kung ano ang isasagot natin kay Lolo" I said

"Don't be so confident Faulkerson, Jr., remember we still have two weeks for the fulfillment of that promise, maraming pwedeng mangyari sa two weeks" she threatens.

"You mean pwede pang magbago ang isasagot mo? As far as I know when your pregnancy was announced, the promise was already sealed not to mention that we are not pushing through with the filing of annulment" I asked her

"We'll never know, malay mo" she said and I know in my heart she is just teasing me to get even but I could not control myself to be a little scared

"Kahit magbago ang isip mo, ako alam kong in my heart, I am definite and confident that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. If ever you change your mind and push through with the annulment, I am declaring it again now, I will not cooperate, mag-isa kang mag-file at mag-asikaso ng annulment na gusto and I promise you, that you will not get that annulment while I am still alive. You are not going anywhere Mendoza Girl, you are staying by my side for the rest of your life" I firmly said

"Tutoo ba yan?" she asked playfully smiling

"Try me Mendoza Girl" I firmly replied

"Ohhh ... ang sweet naman ni Faulkerson, Jr., alam na alam mo talaga kung paano ako papakiligin eh" she sweetly said

"At alam na alam mo rin how to annoy, much so makes me upset" I replied

"Naglalambing lang naman" she said then stood up and envelope me in her arms "And since you get annoyed, mas kinilig ako. I love you Faulkerson, Jr." she uttered sweetly.

I gently rubs her arms and said "O sige na you got me at 'I love you Faulkerson, Jr.' but it will be sweeter kung may kiss" I said and quickly she cupped my face for a kiss

My hands slowly travels underneath her blouse which makes her pull back from kiss. "Ang agang harot nyan Love" she said

"Can you blame me? Do you have any idea how irresistible you are even at your last trimester of pregnancy? You never fail to drive me crazy my love" I said

"Sabi naman ni Dra. Sanchez pwede pa di ba?" she naughtily said

"Uy .... Wag na kaya akong pumasok today, dito na lang ako sa bahay. I have to save for the drought you know" I teases

"Aysus ... I am just teasing Faulkerson, Jr., ang mabuti pa bilisan mo nang mag-almusal so you could get yourself ready for work" she said laughing

"Sa isang kondisyon, papaliguan mo ko" I flirty said

"Anu ba ....." she replied in her signature pabebe tone

"Ayaw mo ba Mendoza Girl, don't you want to make that cold shower sizzles with hotness" I said then I purposely took off my shirt to continue teasing her

"Susmaryosep, sandali lang naman, dalawang subo na lang 'tong pancake ko oh bakit may pa-pandesal pang pahabol? Pero hindi ko tatangihan yan" she exclaimed giggling while I laugh out loud.
