Chapter 65 - Office Visit

Maine's POV

I am not used to a long travel anymore since I got pregnant, Bulacan to Laguna is not as easy as before. Celestine begins complaining of the long hours of travel due to several stop overs and to avoid her get into tantrums we decided to drop by RJ's office.

This is actually the first time that Celestine is stepping foot in Faulkerson's Construction Corporation and first also for me since we get married. Everyone's eyes are on us while we walks in the hallway going to the executive offices. I overheard someone asked if I am RJ's wife. "Yan ba yung Maine Mendoza? Bakit iba ang itsura sa personal, ang losyang? Ah, malamang photo-shopped yung nasa newspaper"

Aba at ang gagang 'to, judgmental pa. "Hindi ka maganda teh kaya wag kang mag-inarte. Subukan mo kayang magbyahe mula Sta. Maria Bulacan hanggang BGC nang alas dos ng hapon at mag-throw-up ng higit sa limang beses, ewan ko na lang kung hindi ka malosyang. Partida pa yang teh, maganda pa ako kanina nung umalis sa Sta. Maria, paano kung ikaw na eh pangit ka na sa umpisa pa lang" are the thoughts in my mind upon hearing them talking about me.

And in another group someone said "Sino yung kasamang bata? Anak ba nya yun? So disgrasyada ang napangasawa ni Sir RJ?"

"Baka naman anak din ni sir RJ, hindi lang natin alam" the equally tsismoso employee replied.

"Paano? Tingnan mo nga ang layo naman sa features ng Faulkerson yung bata, cute pero hindi maganda, impossibleng anak yan ni sir RJ" the first one insisted.

Aba at isa pang judgmental ang mga hitad ito, hatakin ko kaya ang mga ito at ipaulit yung mga sinasabi nila sa harap mismo ni RJ, malamang bukas wala nang trabaho ang mga 'to. Pero wag na lang kawawa naman ang pamilya nila, saka papangit sila lalo kasi mawawalan na sila ng pang aura. "I heard what they say" some one speaks from behind

"Dad" I exclaimed, Mukhang narinig nila ako at isa-isang nasibalik sa kanya-kanya nilang desk.

"Lolo Ricky" Celestine exclaimed too and Daddy Ricky quickly carried her

"Hello my baby Celestine. Nice to see you here in our office apo" Daddy Ricky said

"We are here for Daddy, but I'm happy to see you Lolo Ricky" Celestine straightly said

"That makes me sad, I thought you are here because of me" Daddy Ricky said

"Ok, I'm here because of you too Lolo, so please don't be sad anymore" Celestine said while she showers Daddy Ricky face with her kisses

"Ang sarap naman ng kisses ng baby namin" Daddy Ricky said then she walks towards the group that was talking earlier. "Guys, I want all of you to meet my granddaughter, Celestine and her Mom Maine" Daddy introduced us

"Hello Celestine, Hello Ma'am Maine" the group said

"Hello po" Celestine said while I just smiles at them

"Hi Celestine, ang pretty mo naman little girl" one of the employee said. Sandali lang parang hindi yang ang sinabi mo kanina tungkol sa anak ko, ang plastic ha

"Of course Celestine is pretty because she is a Faulkerson. You guys better be good to her, because she will be taking over the company when she is ready" Daddy Ricky said. "Come on puntahan na natin si RJ sa room nya" he told us and we walks towards RJ's office

"I'm sorry about what you heard, sana wag mo na lang silang pansinin" Dadyd Ricky apologized

"You don't have to apologized Dad, ok lang po yun. Naalala ko tuloy nung first time nalaman ni RJ yung tungkol kay Celestine. Now mas naintindihan ko" I said
