Richard's POV
I am glad that the second trimester of Maine's pregnancy is not as difficult as the first one. Her morning sickness slowly subsides. Her breast and belly are beginning to grow. Though she is starting to complain about backaches and occasional dizziness her OB-Gyne assures us that those changes are normal. With these changes, I was able to spare more time for our little girl Celestine.
As much as possible, we do not want her to feel that she is ignore because of our excitement for the coming baby. In everything that we do for the baby, we made sure to get Celestine's opinion. We are not only preparing for the baby's coming but also we are preparing Celestine on being the Ate.
"Hello Ate Celestine, I'm glad to see you again" Dra. Sanchez greeted us upon entering her clinic
"Hello Dra" Celestine greeted back
"How are you Maine?" Dra asked my wife
"I'm good doctora, nabawasan na ang morning sickness, mas madalas nang wala" Maine replied
"That's a good sign, it means that you are already on your second trimester of your pregnancy. Mas relax ang period na 'to Maine" Dra. Sanchez said
"Pero Dra. napalitan naman ng backaches" Maine said
"That's normal, kasi naman yung belly and breats are beginning to grow, just massage it gently. Can Ate Celestine do that?" Dra. Sanchez replied
"How will I do that" Celestine asked
"Just gently rubs Mommy's lowerback, it will make her feel better" Dra. Sanchez replied
"Ok po Dra." Celestine replied
"Just continue with your vitamins Maine, gaya ng dati never hesitate to call me in case you feel something weird or there is bleeding. Continue to eat healthy. RJ, don't stress your wife to much" Dra. Sanchez said after checking on Maine
"Mas spoiled na nga ngayon si buntis Dra., minsan nga medyo abuso na" I replied
"Hoy, grabe ka, magsumbong talaga kay Dra." Maine said
"I don't mind if you'll spoil her but that does not mean that we will give her everything that she want's, specially sweets, is it understood RJ and Maine?" Dra. Sanchez said
"Wait lang po Dra., pwede pong paki ulit, I have to record that" I said
"Hala sya, oy hindi daw ako pwedeng ma-stress sabi ni Dra., paki-ulit din po Dra. I have to record that too" Maine answer back while Dra. Sanchez, enjoys the little bickering.
"Celestine, can I ask a favor from you?" Dra. Sanchez asked
"Yes po" Celestine replied
"You have to watch over Mommy, she is not allowed to take too much sweets and you have to watch over Daddy too, because he should not make Mommy upset" Dra. Sanchez and Celestine toast her stare between Maine and I before she nods at our OB-Gyne. "Very good Ate Celestine, I will be counting on you then" Dra. Sanchez added smiling.
"When we will know the baby's gender Dra?" I asked
"Once we reach the 18th to 20th week, we can see the baby's gender already" Dra. Sanchez said "Are you excited to know the baby's gender Celestine?" she asked
"I want a baby sister Dra." Celestine replied
"Hey, I thought you are on my side, you said you want baby brother" I objected
