Chapter 62 - Dream Competition

Richard's POV

After that issue with Patrick, our life went back to normal. We admit that we are still worried on the sudden show up of Celestine's biological father if ever, but we decided to just cross the bridge when we get there.  For now we will enjoy our little angel while we continue to pray to God that she'll stay with us forever.

Maine were able to concentrate with her motocross practice, while I went back to my regular work. I resumed over-seeing our project with Patrick's company since he flew back to U.S.

I am in a discussion with my Dad in my office when suddenly, I received a call from Maine.

"Sagutin ko lang po si Maine, Dad.  Baka emergency, she does not usually call kapag office hours, oftentimes nagte-text lang yun" I said

"Go ahead RJ, this is not a formal meeting anyway" my Dad replied

"Hello Love" I greeted

"Hello RJ"  I heard a different voice from the other line

"Hello sino ka? Bakit gamit mo telepono ng asawa ko?" I straightly asked

"Si Jacob 'to RJ, dinala namin si Maine dito sa South City Hospital, pwede bang pumunta ka na agad dito kasi may mga papers sila ng pinapapirmahan eh dapat daw relative ang pipirma" Jacob said and I immediate panicked

"Anong nangyari sa asawa ko Jacob bakit nyo dinala sa ospital?" I exclaimed

"Hindi naging maganda yung pagbagsak nya kanina while doing the rock solid stunt. Paki bilisan naman RJ, hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko kay Maine eh, hanggang ngayon wala pa syang malay. I will text you the location" Jacob said

"I am on my way, thanks Jacob"  I quickly replied and hangs up. "I need to go Dad, dinala si Maine sa South City Hospital, ang sama daw nung pagbagsak nya sa isang stunt" I told my Dad

"Call Rizza, mas malapit sya dun kaya mas madali syang makakarating sa ospital. Call me as soon as you get there" my Dad said

"Yes Dad, I will do that"  I replied and hurried went out of my office

"RJ" my Dad called as I reached the door

"Yes Dad" I asked

"Drive safely anak, you have to calm down hindi makakatulong if you panicked.  Ako na lang ang tatawag kay Rizza para mas malinaw ang instruction, I don't think you can explain properly to Rizza what she's supposed to do.  Just update me from time to time" my Dad said

"I will Dad, thank you, wait for my call"  I said before I headed off to the hospital

On my way to South I keeps on thinking what happened? Maine has been practicing that rock solid jump and she already have perfected it. In this kind of incident I am tempted to ask Maine to stop this extreme sports but how shall I do that, nauna pa ngang dumating ang motocross sa buhay nya bago ako. She has invested a lot of time and effort for this craft. This is also her haven and something that gives her an undeniably high self-confidence. But I could not compromise her safety from her dream, she has to stop this for her own sake.

Traffic was really bad therefore I was not able to reach the hospital as fast I have to. I thank God for the family, Rizza was already there when I reached the emergency room.

"Rizza" I called her as I walked fast towards her

"Kuya, nakakuha na ako ng room para kay Ate Maine.  We are just waiting for her transfer in her room nya." Rizza said
