Duke placed the knives aside and checked his watch, "Whoa, look at the time. It's almost noon." He slapped his hands together in the air and said, "Well, I'm done. Gonna go grab us something to eat." He rested his hand on the table and smiled gently at Kevin to ask him, "So, what would you like me to bring you this time?"
Kevin appeared to be restless. He asked for, "Just coffee, please," without even looking at Duke.
"Coffee!" Duke laughed, "Have you seen your face lately? You should see your eyes. You look like a freakin' zombie."

Then he jerked his head toward Kevin and told him, "Get some rest. You sure need one right now."
Kevin inhaled nervously then stuttered, "But I-I..." He stopped as he felt the urge to swallow, then he continued, "I don't wanna sleep. I-I mean I don't feel sleepy."
Kevin knew what's waiting for him if he went to sleep. He was terrified when Duke explicitly and shamelessly showed that he wished for him to sleep. He never wants to sleep here again, now that he knows about Duke's intentions.
"OK. I get it." Duke shook his head, "You're afraid I'm gonna make a move on you while you're sleeping."
