Disaster Day-Castiel

Castiel looks around as he sits next to you who is driving when you reach one of your hands out to hold Castiel's hand.

Castiel and you have been dating for a while now but the two of you have been too busy fighting the supernatural to go on normal dates or to do normal couple things. So when the two of you finally got a few days off from hunting due to Sam and Dean needing to visit Jody who needs help with Alex. You immediately got to planning a whole day for you and Castiel to spend together.

"Where are we going?" asks Castiel as he looks over at you detaching his eyes from the window

"It's a surprise." You answer taking your eyes off of the road for a second to send Cas's a smiley look

"Will I like this surprise?" asks Castiel with a curious expression

Castiel has never had someone plan a surprise for him before so part of him is a bit excited and the other part is a little nervous.

"Yes, Cas, I think you'll like it." You answer with a soft smile as you give Cas's hand a reassuring squeeze

20 minutes later, Cas and you pull up to the cute, light blue colored building in the middle of the small town you had driven to.

"Skating rink?" questions Castiel with a head tilt as he stares at the building where people are heading insides

"Yes, this is going to be so much fun!" You say excitedly causing a small smile to form on Castiel's face at how happy you seem

You tug Cas into the ice skating rink by his hand, a huge smile plastered prominently on your face. You couldn't wait to skate with your handsome, lovable boyfriend.

Cas and you quickly put on the skates after you having to explain to Cas that he had to put the skates on in order to skate. Even though he is an angelic being who doesn't need the skates.

You stand next to Cas carefully helping him to the rink holding his arm so he doesn't fall.

"I don't like these "skates", can I put my normal shoes back on and enjoy this activity with you?" asks Castiel looking down at you with a serious expression

"Cas, they won't let you on the ice without your skates on. It may be hard right now, but you'll get the hang of it." You say trying to encourage Castiel to give ice skating a shot

"Okay." says Castiel with a nod of his head wanting to try this for you knowing you seem really excited about it

You hold Cas's hand tightly as the two of you skate together. So far Cas has only tripped around.....five or six times maybe so not that bad for his first-time ice skating.

"You got this babe, you are doing great." You encourage with a smile

"Okay." murmurs Cas as he focuses on moving his feet without falling on to his rear

10 minutes later, it seemed Cas finally seemed to get the hang of skating and you decided that he is probably ready to skate by himself.

"Okay, babe, you are doing really really good looking." You compliment as you loosen your grip on his hand

"Thank you, Y/N. I have learned that if you just smoothly glide instead of taking steps it really helps." explains Cas, too busy focusing on his explanation to realize you had let go of his hand

Castiel skates on his own with you stay by his side.

"Babe?" You say catching his attention

"Yes, Y/N." says Castiel, who had not yet gotten into the whole couple's names thing yet though he knew when you used one you were referring to him
