"no touching, no kissing, none of your funny business." i say as i walk into the hotel room. "we're here just as friends."

"val, i know from the last five times you told me on the car ride here." jack chuckled.

"i'm just making sure you know!" i placed my luggage down next to the bed. "woah woah woah, why is there only one bed?"

"val! will you just relax! we've slept in a single bed before." he gripped my shoulders lightly and smiled. "now please, let's just enjoy this trip. okay?"

i nodded and he kissed my forehead with a small smile. he began to unpack his suitcase and then mine as well.

"let's hit the pool first and then go to dinner tonight. we only have a week here, so let's enjoy it."
