"Hey you" she smirked slipping behind the curtains.
"How did you get in my mum had to leave much to my step dads delight" he sighed.
"I used to work here,so I know my away around and I'm sure I could still argue my way into see you if I had to" she smiled she checked the coast was clear before moving to claim his lips hearing his soft groan of approval.
"You had me worried" she smiled as she moved to sit beside him.
"Sorry, you were right had a bleed on my liver, that areshole sitting by my bed pretending he had nothing to do with it" he hissed angrily.

"I know you mum was very keen not to discuss how it had happened as well, but your okay now at least you gave me a fright".
"I'm okay, tough as nails" he smirked wincing a little.
"Your not, so what did you tell the police" she asked moving to hold his hand.
"That I got in into fight at the weekend, I know I shouldn't lie but I know they will deny it, and then it will just make things worse. And I'm going to have to go back home for a bit to recoperate after being in here. Which is the last thing I want to do. But they will want to save face so they will play the doting parents whilst everyone is watching.

"It will be okay I'm sure it will" she smiled.
"I can't be stuck there for weeks, with no school and no excuse to see you Connie, I can't" he sighed throwing his head backwards against the pillow.

"It won't be forever maybe it I'll help mead things with your mum a little, she obviously cares about you" she offered.
"Your kind Connie but since I woke up all they have been doing is drilling me into making sure I have my story straight".
"Oh Jacob" she sighed moving to stroke his face.
"Is there anyone else you could stay with" she asked watching him intently, "no not really" he waggled his eyebrows at her suggestively.
"Oh Jacob I wish I could How would we swing that" she sighed frustrated at their limited options.
"I could just discharge myself and message them to say I'm staying with friends, nobody need to know I'm staying with you".
"Hmm been thinking this through have we" she smirked.
"Maybe a little, I just know I'd rather be with you than them, especially in this state when I can't fight back" the tears swelling around his eyes as he blinked them away.
"Oh don't get upset" she cooed, moving to kiss his soft cheeks and his lips tenderly.
" your going to be in here a few days at least I'll try and make a plan, Okay" she smiled softly at him.
"You will" he spoke the colour flooding back to his face as he beamed at her. "Emotional manipulation, got to love it" he smirked.
She smacked his hand gently in jest "I'm so glad your okay" she smiled, they sat and chatted for a while before he became drowsy.
"I best be going, you can text me, I'll pop in tomorrow after school Okay"
"It will be the best part of my day" he grinned pulling her softly down to claim her lips.
"Always the charmer, you get some rest" she smiled pecking his lips a final time before sneaking out of the ward and down the main stairs.

She was fully aware this was only going to get messier, and she should back off but she couldn't. The feelings she had had whilst he was in Theatre it had shocked her, how much she had come to care for him in such a short time. She couldn't just abandon him, she wanted to keep him safe make him happy. She just wasn't sure how she was going to do that without creating a whole world of trouble for herself.

She lay in bed, how had a concerned teacher on Friday gone to this in less than a week. She had well and truly over stepped the line, but then she couldn't go back and if she was honest she wasn't wholly sure she wanted to if she could.
He was a bright boy made her laugh, made her feel good about herself, she cared for him and seeing his family she couldn't just leave him to fend  for himself. The thought of him in pain in that nasty hospital ward all alone, she couldn't bare it.
By 5am she had given up any hope of sleep, and showered and dressed found herself in the car on the way to the hospital before the sun had fully risen.
