"It's just rattled me, she shouted accusations at me of knowing where you are, and here you are I do know. I had to lie and apparently I was seen at the hospital and I don't know it just doesn't feel right. She's your mother, but I can't honestly say I'd be happy for you to go home to that situation and risk".
"I know and I'm lucky that I sweet talked you into letting me come home with you" he smirked.
She smiled moving to stand beside him, "it's just were breaking all the rules, and I don't want to cause trouble for you with your family or with me and my job, it's just complicated isn't it" she sighed rubbing her hands over her face.
"I know and I know it's a big deal and I know us together isn't the norm, and might be frowned upon" he reassured her, "but it's happened we're together we make each other happy and I make my own choices" he argued reasonably.

"I know it just caught me unaware her being at school like that, and now I've got to go and meet Elliot" she sighed tiredly.
"Come on positive attitude, they would be mad to not want you back" he encouraged her seeing her smile flicker.
"Do you think so" she asked a little shyly.
"I know it, now go meet him and smash it" he grinned kissing her on the lips softly.
"But what if I'd rather stay here, and be with you" she whined, "I'll be here when you get back" he winked seeing her smirk and visibly relax.
"Fine I'm going, be good and perhaps just be wary incase we have a random visitor" she spoke as she headed for the door.
"Will do sweetcheeks, good luck".
She grinned at him as she moved out of the door and off to the hospital.

"Connie" he beamed moving to encase her tightly in his embrace.
"So nice to see you, how does it feel being back" Elliot smiled joyfully noticing her more subdued demeanor.
"Strange" she smiled as she looked around the department, a little more modern but other than that it all looked and felt the same.
"Ms Naylor" she smirked seeing her younger junior flashing through the files.
"Arh well Well look what they dragged in" she smirked smugly, "Well you know nobody could ever run this place like I did" she grinned. She already felt the sharp witty confidence build inside her as she walked towards the office. Her hand loitering on the handle for a moment , it had been many years since she had last been in this room, her domaine and it felt so surreal to be back here.
"Now Connie don't be mad" she moved to glare at him, "why would I be" she snipped as he moved in front of her and opened the door.
"Arh Mrs Beauchamp" his voice spoke.
"Mr Hansen" she nodded curtly shaking his hand, "so I take it Elliot didn't tell you I'd be here" he chukckled amused.
"Hmm well you could put it that way" she spoke harshly.
"Arh well your here now, have a seat" he bumbled as Connie took a seat on the sofa away from the chair that he was motioning to.
"Ah yes over there will do just as well, Elliot come and join us" Hansen called as Elliot moved to sit opposite Connie.

"So now to cut to the chase, Elliot mentioned you might be interested in returning to the fold of surgery and CT ".
"Hm yes cutting to the chase but in short, yes I think I might. It's been a while but my passion is surgery and my home is Holby, is there a position to open up that option" she asked firmly feeling her confidence flooding her body. She hadn't lost the old her, she was still in here and she was ready to let her out again.

"Well I'm not sure i could refuse You even if I wanted to, and it so happens we are lacking in a surgeon of your calabir" he smirked.
"Hmm well nobody meets my expertise" she spoke with utter belief in herself again, she knew how good she was.
"Yes well, So it would seem. When would you like to come back?" He asked watching her.
She wasn't sure how to reply she was coming for an informal chat with Elliot about her possible return and basically been offered a job by the CEO in the space of half an hour.
"Next month" she smiled.
"I shall see you then, I'm sure HR can sort out the paper side of thing, welcome back MRS Beauchamp"
"Thank you" she smiled proudly as she shook his hand firmly and stood as he swiftly left the room.
"Don't shout at me" Elliott braced himself, she smirked glaring at him, "you could have warned me"she smirked at his scared expression.
"I tried, so your not mad".
"How could I be" she smiled softly at him, she had missed him, missed working with him.
"Guess I'll be back in this office before you know it then, that will Put Ms Naylor out of joint I'm sure she was hoping for a promotion. One question though Mr Strachan".
He looked at her sadly he had never known the details of her departure but he wasn't blind he knew something had happened between the two of them.
"He's working in America left 4 months ago and has no plans to return that I know of", he watched as she visibly relaxed.
"In that case, I owe you a thank you it would seem" she smiled.
"I'll settle for a hug, it's good to have you back Connie. I've missed this" he grinned pulling her into his embrace and squeezed her tightly.
"I suppose I better brush up then it's been a while" she smiled pulling away becoming more professional.
"Like riding a bike" he smirked as she glared at him challenging him, "No.. i just meant I'm sure your have no problem getting back into the swing of it" he laughed nervously.
"Thank you, I guess I'll see you soon"
"Arh no connie, not so fast at least have a coffee before you go" he pleaded.
"I guess half an hour won't hurt" she smiled checking the clock.
"How is Jacob" he smiled seeing the flush rush across her cheeks, "he's fine thank you".
