"What are you doing here" he smirked as he looked up from his book, "couldn't sleep" she smiled as his face brightened, "thinking of me" he grinned wincing a little as he moved.
"Something like that" she smiled moving to sit beside him, "I brought you some things, I had a word with the nurse they said I could stay if I was quite" she finished.

"The nurse wouldn't be the good looking male one, would it?" He eyed her, "maybe but I've got my hands full with you to be looking at other men" she grinned.
"Arh is that so" he winked.
"Stop it it's not funny, it's a bloody mess I'm your teacher, even being here now would be deemed inappropriate forget the rest we've been up to" she sighed.
"Not forgetting what's to come" he grinned.
"Your feeling better then" she chuckled.
"Got to love morphine" he joked seeing her relax.
"So I've been thinking perhaps you should ask your mum if you can stay with friends. If she's not bothered then maybe it will draw less attention to it.

If not you'll have to discharge yourself and I'll sneak you out, I can't bare that they won't be kind to you, they won't look after you" the tears welling in her eyes.

"Where is this coming from come on it's not all that bad, I mean I get to see your beautiful face this early" he chipped in.
Despite herself she laughed a little, "I just lay there last night the images of how you ended up in here going round and round in my head and I couldn't bare it" she wiped the tear from her own cheek.
"Oh Connie, I'm okay" he smiled pulling her in to rest her head on his shoulder. "Someone might see"she sighed pulling away.
"shut the curtain then" he asked watching her consider it.
"I need to go, school will be opening soon" she reasoned.
"Just a kiss" he pleaded, "get me through the day" he argued wincing as he tried to sit up.
"Don't move your hurt yourself" she moved to his side.
"Don't make me chase you then" he smiled. She pulled the curtain to hide them and move down to steal a soft kiss from his lips.
"Hmmm god you smell so amazing" he hummed.
"Rest, go back to sleep" she stroked his head claiming his lips once more watching as his eyes closed and she left.

Sitting at her desk, she couldn't remember ever being up this early since being a teacher. As a surgeon she had worked all sorts of hours and never seemed to sleep. She was surprised that mentality seemed to have stuck, because with no sleep she was feeling okay.

"Your in early" her colleague smiled leaning in her doorway,
"Yes well lots to do" she replied eager to once again be left alone.
"How's Jacob doing" he asked
"Out of Theatre seems to be on the mend" she nodded refusing to make eye contact.
"Okay Connie well see you later, if we survive the morning"he groaned, She smirked as he finally left her in peace.

She thought about messaging him, she knew he'd likely be asleep, he was going to need lots of rest. She found herself arguing with herself, she had someone how become this needy attached neurotic, the type of person she couldn't stand.

"So can we go over the uses of the blood" she asked again she found it hard with this class. It was her one GCSE class, but she just found as they hadn't chosen it for a subject they just weren't as interested, meant half the class was spent repeating herself.

By the end of the day she felt the lack of sleep, she didn't want to risk bumping into his parents. She headed home for a rest deciding she would go up at the end of visiting.
She made up some pasta asbsent mindidly found herself pouring it into a Tupperware box, as she headed for the door.
She had managed a small sleep but she hadn't wanted to risk going up the hospital too late.
As she pulled up she saw the woman she recognized as Jacobs mum getting quickly into a car with the step father. She felt happier knowing they had left, as she parked and headed up.

He continued to push the food around his plate, god how were people ever suppose to get better on yuk like this. It was revolting and the texture didn't even resemble food.
"No need to look so glum" she smiled moving to sit beside him, "Hmm you try having to make small talk with people who can't stand you and eat this muck" he groaned grumpily.

She moved to pull the curtain around a little, "Leon said I could stay an hour" she grinned,
"Leon now is it" he huffed.
"Oh stop that, now I have this for you" she smiled moving to claim his lips forcefully feeling his arms pull her head in closer.
"Jesus Connie" he smirked instantly looking happier, "and these" she smiled pulling out the pasta, garlic bread and coke.
"Oh your a special lady" he grinned pulling the food forwards and tucking in straight away.

"God you can cook, you are just lovely and you look like that, talk about the whole deal" she tucked her hands under her legs. She shifted uncomfortably a compliment from him just seemed to do things to her she didn't know how to handle.

She woke with a start, "Connie sorry" the gentle voice spoke as she felt a hand upon her shoulder. "It's very late I forgot you were here" leon smiled as she stirred fully.
"Sorry I must have fallen asleep" she moved up grabbing her bag, "thank you, I haven't got you in trouble have I".
"No it's fine" he smiled, "he doesn't seem to enjoy his other visitors and I sense you can't come in normal hours. So if I'm on shift it's no problem, I'm on evenings all week" he smiled.
"Your a gem, thank you", wrapping her coat around her she headed down the stairwell once again. Looking at her watch she had no clue how long they had slept but it was nearly midnight.
