We sit around the table finishing up. Everyone has been pretty silent.
Finally Shawn speaks up..
"So does anyone know where the next Magcon is??" He says it awkwardly, but atleast he broke the strong silence.
"No. I think There's a meeting tonight though.. For everyone.." Says Aaron, uneasily..
I look at Cam. He looks worried.
"I'll be fine. I'll just chill at the beach, and uh in the room. How long will you be though?" I say speaking up at the last part. I bite into a piece of bacon.
"Uh Bart said like all day.." Says Taylor slowly.
My chews get slower and my jaw hardens. I put on a little smile.
"I'm eighteen. I can take care of myself. Nothing will happen, I'll just chill." I want to believe it.. but I can't.
I'm a trouble magnet, if you haven't figured that out.. We finish up and head back into the limo, after the boys take some pictures.
I am in and a few pile in but some are out still. Shawn and Taylor pile in next to me. They act casual, bringing a smile to my face.
Taylor puts his head on my shoulder and looks at me.
"You gon' be alright tomorrow, Sam??" I laugh. "Haha Yes. I am eighteen- an adult. I can take care of myself for a whole day..
"Sure??" Aaron butts in.
I look at him.
"Of course." I say strongly.
