Part 40

Arnav's eyes landed on khushi before he can go behind Shyam and he froze on his spot, looking at Khushi who
lay almost lifelessly on floor. His feet refused to move forward, he looked at her tears stained face and some bluish marks on it. Blood was oozing out from her forehead, nose and lips which were torn. She was lying unconcious with all fighting and assaults of that ****.

"Khushi.." her name escaped from Arnav lips and just like that coming to his senses he shouted.

"Khushi......" Arnav rushed towards Khushi forgetting everything for the moment. He takes Khushi in his arms, he looked with horror at her state, torn clothes, many wounds glaring at him and Shyam's fingermarks on her face. Arnav tried to make Khushi open her eyes but she didn't except she flinched in pain and it made
Arnav realize in how bad condition Khushi is.

Removing his coat Arnav covered Khushi with it properly. He lifted Khushi in his arms in a swift moment, his own hands is shivering which was carrying his life in his arms.

On his way to hospital Arnav tried his best to get any type of response from her.

"Khushi, please open your eyes. Look your Arnav ji is here" but in reply he got only her silence and it scared
him more. He's cursing himself for getting late, he is scared thinking what if he was too late and that **** has snatched the innocence of his Khushi.

"Khushi, I am sorry. I am so sorry." he blabber again and again because of being late. He kept showering soft kisses on her bruised face in between driving.

Soon he reached at hospital and lifting Khushi in his arms, Arnav ran inside the hospital, doctors immediately takes Khushi inside.

Arnav was really worried, he don't even know how he managed to drive till hospital in this state. He is scared, scared for Khushi and surprisingly he don't even tries to hide it. At this moment nothing matters to
him, what matters is Khushi, his life, his love who is inside. Arnav cursed himself , how can he be so careless, he should have been more careful, if he have not left her alone this would have not happened.

Arnav looks inside the room where they have took his Khushi from that small window. His heart clenched to see her in midst of so many machines and wires connected to her cotton like soft skin, unable to see it he turned and slides down to nearest bench holding his head between his hands.

After Shyam left the party on the name of his so called work, Arnav took a sigh of relief and leaving Khushi with Payal and Anjali he left to join his businees clients but still he kept his eyes upon Khushi as he was already not feeling good but soon Arnav got engrossed with his one of the most important clients. The
man he's talking was helping him in coming show of mumbai, his Khushi is going to design some of the dresses for show and he want a good welcome for her in fashion world.

He have decided something else also for Khushi after this show will be completed and that will be surprise for her. He got really engrossed in that discussion that he didn't notice when Khushi left the party hall but as soon as he noticed her absense he looked around but when he still didn't saw her, he excused himself and
reached where Khushi was standing. He asked from Payal and he found that Khushi has gone to washroom so he waited but when she didn't return, he started searching for her.

Arnav was still searching for Khushi when he got a call from her and when he came to know where she is and how, his blood boiled but it was soon replaced with concern and fear hearing broken voice of Khushi but the moment he got to know she's in same hotel, he took the help of hotel manager.

On the other side he was hearing everything, Khushi's screams, pain and plea tore his heart. When manager checked the register he announced that there's no booking on the name of Shyam manohar Jha. Arnav was too much agiated to hear that, when manager suggested to take help from CC TV camera. Arnav
agreed knowing very well that he don't have much time.

When CC TV footage played
and they saw in which room Khushi has been taken, Arnav dashed from there towards the room and manager followed him with duplicate keys.

Arnav started banging the door reaching there and because of it Shyam got distracted but ignored it when he saw Khushi is still trying to escape. In the meantime manager and Aman reached there with duplicate keys and without wasting anymore time Arnav entered inside to see Shyam running away and Khushi lying on floor with blood coming out from her forehead and lips.

Flashback ends*******

"I wish, I was little early so Khushi would have been safe." Arnav whispered as he remembers their moments before party and smiled bitterly but soon he got up hearing the sound of door opening and doctors coming out.

In a stride he was standing in front of doctor. "How?" he asks, stammering "How is she? Tell me doctor?
Is she okay?"

Doctor looked at the impatient man before him, he was shocked himself. He knew ASR from before but had never seen him this broken and distraught. That girl inside must be really important for him. "Look ASR, For now we have aided her wounds, there were some glass pieces
pierced in her skin which we have removed, even her head is injured." Doctor's words pierced Arnav's heart like those glass pieces pierced her sometime ago, he's feeling such pain.

"It was a attempt to rape, ASR.
Though you saved her on right time so it didn't happen but the condition in which you bought her here was really critical. We didn't inform the police till now because it's you who brought her here but the person who have tried to rape her has tortured her a lot." Doctor looks at him before continuing after a hesitant pause "In other words, it was an agressive rape attempt, the person who did this behaved like an animal." Doctor stops
looking at painful expressions on Arnav's face.

"So Mr. Raizada, before I continue further, I would like to know how she belongs to you? Do you even know her or not?"

Arnav interrupts doctor before he can continue with his questions "She's my wife. Khushi Arnav Singh
Raizada." he announced effortlessly without any shame. In fact with love in his voice and emotions shocking the other being before him. Now he can understand why Arnav was concerned for the lady laying inside and he can feel proud in the
voice of Arnav when he annonced Khushi as his wife.

On the otherside, Arnav can see the shocked expressions of doctor but he didn't care. All he cares for is Khushi and he would be damned if he let anything bad happen to her anymore and surely her respect means a lot to her and he'll not let Khushi's image ruined. He knows Shyam was unsuccessful and Khushi is still pure and even if something would
happened, his Khushi would have been still pure and innocent for him.
But at the same time he know the world outside will not let her live in peace if they got little air about
this matter, he have seen it, when his Di had to bear those taunts because of her first marriage which was not happened due to circumstance better to forget.

What will happen with his Khushi than? He shivered with the thought. So he don't have to think before announcing her as his wife. His Khushi is naive like a child, she don't have to face anything like that and he'll make sure about it.
