Bao Bao instinctively backed up. The person before him took a step forward and pulled him into his arms. Their warm breath tickled his neck as he took in their long lost inviting scent, "I finally found you."
Bao Bao tensed up for a second before he pushed the person away. He looked at them with his brows furrowed and his lips pursed. Why would he be here... now of all times? He didn't understand why they had come back after leaving for so long. Bao Bao had put the thoughts of them behind him and just when he was about to let go, they came rushing back at him.
The person frowned at Bao Bao's reaction and reached out to touch Bao Bao again. This time Bao Bao wasn't caught off guard by their sudden appearance, he side stepped their outstretched arm. The person looked hurt as they gazed at Bao Bao, but he kept quiet. The air between the two of them became heavy and awkward as their gazes locked.
Just as the atmosphere was getting stormy, someone's clear voice broke through their silence, "Ah, my Xiao Bao~! You can't believe who came to find me earlier today. It's that niao ren¹! He dared to show his ugly fac-"
Bao Bao turned to see a young looking cute 'woman' with lavish long hair come running in his direction. They had long lavender pastel colored hair, a turtleneck white sweater, black and white plaid skirt, black stockings, and a pair of small black heels. There was a person following behind them, he was much taller than the 'woman'. He had short silver hair, and long champagne coat.
The 'young woman', suddenly stopped speaking and jumped. They tried to kick the person in front of Bao Bao, but was blocked. They landed on their feet after their attack was defected away. Their voice suddenly went baritone, not matching their adorable appearance, "You f*cking niao ren! What are you doing here?! Didn't I tell you to stay away from him!"
The 'niao ren' didn't get angry at being insult and chuckled, "I only came to find him."
The 'young woman' snarled, "F*ck you! What makes you think that you can just barge back into his life after disappearing for so long! You don't know how much sh*t he went through because of you. Do you even know that he was almost obliterated because he waited for you?!"
The young 'woman' charged at the 'niao ren' but was held back by her companion. The man tried to soothe the young 'woman', they were like an irritated cat with it's hairs standing. He patted their head and kissed the top of it, "Don't be mad, Xiao MianYang²."
The young 'woman' puffed out their cheeks and took a deep breath. Just as they had managed to calm their soul, the 'niao ren' opened his mouth once more, "Come with me, Bao Bao."
Their face re-blackened. They wanted to take grab the person's shoulder and shake him while yelling, 'ARE YOU DEAF? DID YOU NOT HEAR WHAT I JUST SAID TO YOU?!' Their chest heaved up and down as they sparked with annoyance.
Bao Bao couldn't stand the 'niao ren's' gaze anymore, "Jie jie, I... I have to go. I'll see you off next time."
Bao Bao turned and tried to walk away when his arm was grabbed and he was pulled back. His nose slammed right into the person's chest. His eyes watered instantly from the impact and he tried to squirm away from the person's embrace. They only tightened their hold further as they murmured, "Be still, Bao Bao."
"I won't do anything to you. Just hear me out, please?"
Those words brought back unwanted memories that made Bao Bao's heart ache. He fought even harder and even bit the person's shoulder. This caught them by surprise. They winced at the pain and temporarily released their hold on him. Bao Bao slipped out of their grasp and ran off. The person stood still as he recalled what he had seen on Bao Bao's face, there were tears in his eyes. He looked as if he was about to cry.
He didn't snap out of his stupor until the young 'woman' smacked his face, "Don't you come around him again, Yan Yu."
Yan Yu touched the cheek that had started to swell and narrowed his eyes, "I won't stop until he stops and listens to my explanation first, Wei CaiXia."
Yan Yu looked in the direction where Bao Bao had slipped off to once more, before he walked away as well. Wei CaiXia huffed angrily, "Stupid niao ren!"
They slammed their head against the their companion's chest, "Oh, my poor Xiao Bao.... I wonder how he is right now."
"Yun'er, do you think he'll be alright?"
The man called Jiang AoYun smiled and pinched his cheek, "I believe he's alright. He just needs time to process things."
Wei CaiXia leaned onto Jiang AoYun's chest, "I hope so."
Jiang AoYun's hand sneakily goes past Wei CaiXia's flexible waist and groped their soft butt. Wei CaiXia yelped before they swatted away those indecent hands. Then he finally recalled something and pulled back and pinched the other's arm, "It's all your fault that he still calls me 'jie jie'."
Jiang AoYun laughed and kissed Wei CaiXia's nose, "Mmn. It's all my fault that he calls you 'jie jie', my Xiao MianYang."

Bao Bao hadn't stop running until was out of sight before he returned to his space. When he got inside he squat down and covered his face. The hurtful memories all came flooding back, all those lies that he so easily swallowed with a smile on his face. Every moment that they had spent together all rushed at him. He tried so hard to forget all of it. To push everything back, all those false hopes that he held onto, all those sweet words. He was so stupid then. Bao Bao rubbed his eyes in irritation.
The day before their departure, he had spent the day with that person. They had laid in each other's arm and talked about their future together. What a joke it was then. He was so eager back then to be besides the person, to feel their touch, hear their words, and be able to see their face. Bao Bao slammed his fists onto the ground as he tried to calm down the tumultuous waves in his heart. He had already told himself to forget about 'him' but when he came face to face with them, he somehow couldn't. Bao Bao stubbornly refused to let his tears fall.
He stayed positioned like that for a day before he stood back up. Bao Bao's eyes widened and this time he let the tears fall. He walked over hesitantly.
