C H A P T E R 3

                                 8:45 am
School starts in 15 minutes
I slam my locker close, I turn around and lay my head on it.

"He probably thinks I don't want to talk to him" I say,
"Oh come on I'm sure he's okay" Sadie says, "what's his name again?"
"Jack" I say.

"So do you like him?"she raises her eyebrows,
"What? No no, he's just a friend" I say, I can feel my cheeks turn red.

"Mhmmm" she says winking at me.

I turn around and see Millie and the minions walking over to me,
"Well well well, look who it is" Millie says to me.

"What the hell do you want?" I say,
"Well yesterday my pookie told me that he was asking you about chemistry homework, and you punch him in his face." She says.
I look at her in shock and laugh in her face,
"You are a fucking idiot" I say "first of all, we didn't get chemistry homework, second he isn't even in my class, and third your bird brain boyfriend slapped my ass".

"You don't know what I'm capable of y/n/n!" Millie whisper yells,
"Oh really?" I say "I'm not scared of you or your brainwashed minions!"

She rolls her eyes and walks off.

"Ugh I can't stand her" I say.

                            First bell rings
I walk into first period, and sit in my seat.
A few seconds later, jack walks in.

I can feel my heart beating super fast, and I'm not sure why.
He sits in his chair and looks at me,
"Well you look cute today" he says and winks at me.

I was wearing a white T-shirt and tied the bottom part of it with a ponytail on the side, Black leggings, and Allstar adidas.

I giggled, "thank you, and I'm sorry that I didn't call you back last night" I said.

"Oh no worries, so are we still going to the skate park?" He asks.

I felt so bad, I really did want to go with him.

"Jack, I'm so sorry, but my mom is making me watch my sisters after school."

"Oh... okay that's fine, maybe another time" he sighed and stayed quiet for the rest of the class"

                      (Time skip to lunch)
"Sadie I feel so bad, I actually wanted to hang out with him"
"UGH" I kicked the chair that was next to me.
"Y/n calm down you're making a scene" Sadie says.
We look at the entrance of the cafeteria at the same time, "bitch alert" we say.
"Hey girlies, party at my house tonight" she says,
"Why are you having a party on a school night?" I asked.
"No questions y/n" she says as she hands us an invitation,
"Yeah I'm Not going." I say as I ripped up the invitation in front of her.
"Go to hell" Millie says,
"Where you call hell, I call home" I say smirking.

I turn around facing Sadie,
"Why would she give us invitations, knowing that we aren't going to attend?" I say.

"I'll be right back" Sadie says and runs out of the cafeteria.

Wait a second, is she talking to Millie?

              (Time skip to the end of school)
I walk out of school and see Sadie waiting for me,
"Hey girly" she says
"Since when do you say that?" I asked,

"What are you talking about? I always call you girly"
"Very funny" I say, "just please never call me that again"

"Hey do you want to come over tonight?" I asked.

"I would love to but I'm going on a date with Caleb" she says,
"But he has tryouts today" I say with a concerned look.

"Oh well I'm going to wait for him to finish them we are going on a date" she said smiling.

Does she think I'm an idiot? Caleb and Sadie only go on dates right after school or on the weekends, they aren't allowed to go on dates after 6. I have a feeling that she going somewhere else.

I walk her to house and call jack.
"Hey cutie"
"Do you want to come over?"
"Woah someone wants to get straight to the point" he starts laughing.
"Do you?" I say
"Like right now?" He says
"Yes"
"Sure, text me your address"
"Okay bye"
"Bye."

When I get home, my mom rushes out of the door, leaving me with a dirty diaper and a whining kid. Great.

After calming the girls down and cleaning up, the door bell rings.

I open the door and see jack with Chick-fil-A, I give him a hug and invite him in, luckily he brought the girls chicken nuggets and fries.

I set my sisters food out on the coffee table and sit on the couch with jack.
"So is everything okay?" He says,
"Yeah why?" I asked
"You just seemed annoyed on the phone"
I sighed and got a little closer to him,

"I'm pretty sure that my best friend is going to my enemies house party" I say,

"And I wouldn't mind if she goes but she lied to my face saying that she's going on a date, and I know for a fact that she's is not allowed to go on dates after 6:00".

I can feel tears forming, I tried to look away but jack turned my head with the finger and stared at me.

"Y/n why are you crying" Isla said,

"Oh it's nothing princess" I say.

Me and jack are still staring at each other and he slowly leans in, my head was telling me to move away, but if felt like my heart was telling me otherwise.

I leaned forward also, and our lips touched.

His lips were so soft, I didn't want it to end, but then I remembered that Scarlett and Isla are still in the room.

I broke the kiss and pretended that nothing happed.

"Okay girls, bedtime" I say "stay here I'm gonna get them to sleep".

"Okay that's fine" he says.

(Time skip)
After about 20 minutes, the girls fell asleep.
I walked in the living room and see jack looking out the window, on the phone.

"Yeah she's putting her sisters to sleep, then after, I'm gonna smash the shit out of her" he started laughing.

When he got off the phone and turned around, looking at me.

"Oh hey y/n"

"Get out" I say, clenching my fists.

"Wait y/n it's not what it looks like I swea-"
I threw a water bottle at him.

"OH REALLY ITS NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!? BECAUSE TO ME IT LOOKS LIKE YOU WERE GOING TO TRY TO HAVE SEX WITH ME AND BRAG ABOUT IT TO ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS!"

"No y/n I would never do that to you"

"I feel like a fucking idiot, I thought I found a guy who wasn't trying to get into my pants" I say "someone who I can actually talk to" I feel tears running down my face.

"Y/n please just let me expl-"

"GET OUT" I opened the door and pushed him out and locked the door.

I went into my room and broke down crying,

Why did he have to do this to me?

Why did SHE have to do this to me?

I can't trust anyone anymore.
