C H A P T E R 10

Monday
12:30 pm

I didn't walk with Sadie this morning, I ignored everyone all weekend.

I didn't want to sit with my friends... I didn't want them to know that my mom hit me.

Everyone was sitting at the table and I had no choice but to go over there.

"Don't. Say. Anything." I say as I put my food on the table.

"Y/n?" Sadie says.

"What!"

She looks at me for a second.

"Can you come with me to the restroom?"

I feel my eyes water and grab Sadie's hand and run to the bathroom.

"Y/n what happened!?"

"My mom hit me. But I don't want the guys to know."

She give me a tight hug and I cry on her shoulder.

"Y/n you need to get out of that house!"

"I know, I just don't have the money or the time."

"Why don't we go find a job together..." Sadie says.

"Sadie I wouldn't make enough money to be able to pay rent, feed the girls, and get them what they need."

"I'll figure it out." I say.

We walk out of the restroom and I sit next to Finn.

He holds my hand under the table and places it on my thigh.

Somethings not right...

(Time skip)

Sadie and I were walking to her house after school.

"So what's going on with you and Finn?" She says.

"Well last night when he drove me home... we kissed."

"REALLY!!! OH MY GOSH IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!" Sadie says as she grabs my arm and starts jumping up and down.

"Calm down. I don't think we're gonna start dating." I say.

"What!? Why?"

"Because it's all happening too soon. I'm not ready to start a relationship. I really do like him but I just need more time."

"Oh okay, so when are you going to tell him?" She says.

"Well obviously I'm going to tell him, I just need to find the right time."

(Time skip)

I was cleaning my room when I got a call from my mom

"Hello?"

"Hey y/n, I'm at work right now and I just got a call from my new boyfriend, Ron, and he said we're going on vacation for 3 weeks! I need you to take care of your sisters until I get home." My mom says.

"What!? Mom you can't do that! We don't have any food and I don't have any money!" I say.

"Don't worry. Ron is on his way to the house and he's going to give you the money."

"How much is he bringing?"

"I didn't ask. Anyways I need to get back to work, make sure that the girls are happy, the house must be clean and NO BOYS." She says.

"Okay whatever."

I hanged up the phone and waited for her gross looking boyfriend.

He walks up to the door and I see him put something in our mailbox and walks off.

I waited for him to leave and grabbed the money that he left.

I put the money in my purse when I get a call from Finn.

"Hey." I say.

"Hey, what are you doing right now?" He says.

"Cleaning, why?"

"Wanna hang out?"

Suddenly I hear knocking on my window.

I walk over and see Sadie at the window crying.

"Sorry Finn, I cant right now... something just came up." I say.

"Wait y/n-" he said before I hanged up.

I walk to my front door and let Sadie in.

"Sadie what's wrong? What happened?" I say

"Caleb is cheating on me!"

Cliffhanger heheh. Also I know I haven't posted since the beginning of the year but I'm gonna try to post a new chapter once every week so we'll see how that goes :)
