I was getting ready to head out for today and to meet up with my boy Sterling it's been a minute since we last linked now that he's married and have a daughter he's been spending his time with his family. There was a knock at my door and Bri walked in.
"Wassup Bri."
"Hey O."
"I just wanted to come by and see you before I head to Virginia."
"Okay."
"Oh and let your mama know that I can make it for Christmas."
"Christmas?"
"Yeah before Mrs. Heather left 2 weeks ago she had invited me down to Baton Rouge for Christmas."
"Oh okay."
"Heading out?"
"Yeah I'm about to meet up with a friend."
"Oouu who's the lucky girl?"
I chuckled.
"Nah love I'm meeting up with Sterling Shepard."
"He's married to the model Chanel Iman right."
"Yeah."
"Oh okay O when are you going to get you a girlfriend."
Over the past 2 weeks me and Bri have gotten close and it feels like I've known her for forever.
"Like I told you and my family when one comes along I will."
"Hmm."
"What Bri?"
"Nothing."
"No it's something."
I walked over to Bri and looked down at her and she was looking up at me.
"No really O it's nothing."
"You sure?"
"Yeah."
"Hmm."
I leaned down towards Bri and she looked at me with wide eyes.
"O what are you doing?"
I didn't say anything I kissed Bri and she kissed me back. We pulled away and Bri started pacing back and forth and I watched her.
"What was that O?"
"What?"
"The kiss what was it."
I couldn't even respond before Bri started talking again.
"No we can't cross those boundaries we can't it's conflict of interest."
"To who?"
"Us O you're my accountant I'm your client."
"Okay."
"Okay that's all you have to say is okay."
"What else am I supposed to say."
"Oh my God-," I cut Bri off by kissing her again.
"Shut up," I mumbled against her lips.
I kissed Bri again then pulled away again.
"You gotta be feeling the same way that I'm feeling."
"I-I gotta go," Bri turned to leave but I grabbed her arm.
"Nah ma you're not about to run away from me."
Bri sighed and turned back towards me.
"O this is going to complicate things."
