"Whoop, whoop!" Valerie and Penelope jokingly cheered as they stood in the Saltzman twin's bedroom doorway. The twins were in the middle of a talk when they were interrupted by Valerie and Penelope.

"Happy birthday, witches." Penelope smiled at the twin siblings as she and Valerie both held out a cupcake with a candle on it.

"Oh, look. It's Satan in a crop top with the hybrid bitch who trashed the kitchen the night before my party by her side. Come to burn my world down together?"

"Retro," Penelope commented, gesturing the hairpiece Lizzie was wearing, "Princess Di before she got style. I dig it," She paused, turning to Valerie, "Don't you, Val?"

"Totally," Valerie replied, sending the girl a smile before turning her head to look at Lizzie.

Feeling offended by the duo's words, Lizzie quickly took out the hairpiece, "What do you want?" Josie asked the two girls annoyed.

"Oh, we just came to cheer you two up. You know, 'cause your mom's not coming and all." Valerie informed them and she couldn't help but feel a bit guilty that by getting back at Lizzie, she could also be hurting Josie.

"What?" The Saltzman twins asked in unison.

"Oh, Val and I heard they canceled her pickup at the office. We thought you knew," Penelope told the two girls, "Oops."

Angered, Lizzie used her magic to slam the door in Penelope and Valerie's faces. Both girls smiled, giving each other a high face before going on their way.

____

Valerie was in her room, picking up a few of her belongings that had somehow found their way onto the floor during her rendezvous with Josie the night before. Her door was open, meaning that anyone could enter.

Valerie felt a presence standing in the doorway. She didn't have to look up to know that it was Rafael. She rolled her eyes before continuing to place her books back on her desk, "Are you just going to act like you don't know that I'm standing here?" Rafael asked and Valerie didn't respond, causing him to sigh out.

He walked into the room, but stopped walking when he stood right in front of Valerie, who avoided eye contact with him, "I'm sorry for the way I treated you last night during the honors council meeting, Val," Rafael apologized to the female hybrid, "I should've respected your vote. It was what you thought was right. No one could change that." He paused, looking at the ground as guilt consumed him, "I did something really stupid last night that I regret more than anything. I slept with Lizzie Saltzman."

Valerie couldn't help but begin to laugh, seeing as she already knew that, "What's so funny?" Rafael asked her, a puzzled look on his face.

"Oh, nothing," Valerie replied as she finally turned to face him, "It's kind of odd that while you were off sleeping with Lizzie Saltzman, I was doing the same with Josie."

Rafael's eyes widened in shock, "You slept with Josie?" He asked in disbelief before quickly shrugging off the emotion he was feeling at that moment, "What, you like her or something?"

"Nope," Valerie replied without hesitation.

"Then why'd you sleep with her?" Rafael questioned confused.

"Do you like Lizzie?" Valerie asked him curiously.

"No, of course not," He answered in a calm tone.

"Then why'd you sleep with her?" Valerie mimicked what Rafael had asked her just moments before, "If you'd really like to know, I was using Josie as a rebound."

"Rebound?" Rafael asked her with a puzzled look on her face, "Who were you trying to get over?"

Frustration consumed Valerie and all of the books and belongings she had just picked up, flew across the room, causing Rafael to jump slightly. Valerie sighed dramatically, turning to Rafael with an angered look on her face, "God, you are so fucking clueless, Rafael!" She shouted him, bumping shoulders with him as she fled the room.

As she walked down at the hallway, someone grabbed her by the arm, causing her to look up to see Valerie, "Hey, words getting around that Lizzie and Rafael slept together. You must be fuming," Penelope told her with a smile forming on her lips, "It's a great thing that I've already made up a new plan for getting revenge." She informed Valerie as she locked arms with her, "I'll explain on the way."

"And where are we headed to?" Valerie asked curiously, a smile on her face.

"To find MG," Penelope informed her, "He's going to be our distraction for Lizzie tonight."

____

Penelope and Valerie were helping some of the female witches set up decorations for Lizzie's party when MG walked up to them, just as they planned, "The two of you are glad that I respect woman and that I shun all forms of toxic masculinity, or else the three of us would be throwing down right now," He explained to them before nervously gulping when he saw the look Valerie gave him, "Even if you can kick my ass. Especially Valerie, who still scares me to this day."

"Dude, get over yourself. We're here to help," Valerie told MG, who clearly didn't seem to believe her.

"By telling Lizzie and Josie that their mom isn't coming?" MG asked them confused.

"Oh, that was just for Lizzie," Penelope informed him, "Who is taking Rafael as her date instead of you. So why are you doing all this to try and make her party perfect?"

"'Cause a man's got to shoot his shot," He replied with a smile on his face.

"Oh, my God. No. I can't take it anymore," Valerie nearly shouted, growing irritated by MG's everlasting crush on Lizzie Saltzman, "As Penelope's partner in revenge and a somewhat friend of yours, I demand that you take your balls out of that bitch's grip."

MG shook his head, "Not when I can taste victory." He argued with her.

Penelope sighed out, giving MG a sarcastic smile, "Fine, we'll make you a deal. Val and I will keep Werewolf Prince Charming away from the party long enough for you to shoot your one, final inevitably failed shot. And when it's over, and the Queen of Mean has broken your heart all over again, promise me that you will let Lizzie go."

MG seemed hesitant at first, before he finally nodded.

AN: One chapter later, and I already leaning more toward Josie. I think I'm going to have Valerie continue to pine after Rafael for little tiny bit before she finally realizes that Josie might be the one before and not Rafael. But ya never know, I might change my mind again.
