Jason's pov

Me and Miranda were watching TV but I couldn't help but feel like something is missing. I don't know what. "Hey Jason, why don't we practice your fire powers." Andy says, walking in front of the TV, making my girl glare at him. She flips him off and he sticks his tongue out at her. "You two are so immature." I say, standing up. "George had set up targets out back." "Cool." I say. We go out back. George and Jamie were already there. She smiles. "Hey little brother." I smile too. "Hey Jamie." "OK it's all set." I charge a fireball and launch it at the target. "Just like baseball." I whisper smiling. Then that weird empty feeling hits me again. Where did I come from? Who are my parents. I don't remember my life before my vampire family. I feel like I should know! "George, where did I come from?" "Huh?" He asks. "I don't remember much about my life before I came here." "Well you were just a kid. I don't remember where either though. Why all of a sudden does it bother you?" I shrug confused. "You don't remember your adoptive parents Jason?" My girl says confused. I shake my head. "I remember very little. Just.... You." I shakily whisper confused. "This is weird." Andy says. "I don't remember anything either. Like where you came from." He continued walking over to us. I stare at my wife. "Wait. You remember?" She nods. "Of course. You were adopted. How do you not remember them?" She gaped. "You were so torn up when they died." They died?! "Something is seriously wrong with my memories." I say, a hand to my head. "With all of our memories." George says. "I only really remember you came here when you turned 12. And judging by the fact you were adopted most likely means your birth parents were vampires. Its tradition to give your child up for adoption until they turn 12." "But you're not my dad. Are you, George?" He shakes his head. "Not biologically no." He says with a smile. He is like a father to me but that just gives me more questions than answers. Who are my parents? Why does nobody remember where I came from? I'm so confused.
