^random but i love this scene when tsurumaru just sits down casually while waiting for the enemy like heyyyy lmao, i do this all the time honestly, minus the sword HAHA im a pacifist.

*i will mention this before you guys get confused as heck: you (saniwa) are the sword and tsurumaru is your master (haha get wrecked by this troll). this plot was requested but guys, i cant guarantee it will go well because i cant think of a juicy plot for this, sworry. rather than blaming my writer's block, id say my lack of creativity is the problem :/ anyway still please enjoy reading!

Saniwa gulped down hard onto her saliva, blinking anxiously as she fidgeted about in her spot. She rounded her lips, forcing out the words out of her mouth.

"M-master-- I mean, Mr. Kuninaga--"

"I already told you to call me Tsurumaru, even Tsuru is fine!" Tsurumaru interrupted her, his tone sounding agitated as he pouted at her childishly. "I already told you to not be so formal with me! Especially since we are already married ~"

Saniwa shot Tsurumaru a glare before she released a sigh along with her pent up frustrations. "We aren't married, Master." She deadpanned.

Tsurumaru feigned a shocked expression, placing his hand onto his chest dramtically as he let out a short gasp. "Oh my, that hurt my feelings," he faked a sorrowful tone. "We are practically husband and wife, aren't we?"

Saniwa grunted. "Not quite yet."

"Do you even love me?" Tsurumaru cocked an eyebrow sassily, scooting over next to Saniwa as he drapped an arm around her narrow shoulders. His finger traced her face, from the side of her ear down to her jawline and chin, causing Saniwa to jump slightly due to surprise. "I will dismantle you if you don't." He whispered in a raspy voice.

With a eyebrow raised, Saniwa returned the exact same look Tsurumaru was giving to her. "I'd like to see you try, Master," she let out a dry laugh. "Though, I must say I do love you, as my master." She made sure to emphasise the last part.

"It's Tsurumaru!" Tsurumaru poked Saniwa's cheek, puffing his cheeks out haughtily. "And I'm gonna call you 'Honey' from now on."

"Listen, we aren't married and I only accepted your confession because I thought it was another prank of yours and went along with-" Saniwa stopped speaking when she saw the expression Tsurumaru was wearing change drastically. Now, she felt bad, since Tsurumaru appeared genuinely hurt and that happy-go-lucky aura he'd usually give off died that instant.

Tsurumaru's smile turned upside-down as he gazed at Saniwa like a lost puppy. "So... So my feelings are one-sided?" He asked timidly, as if he was afraid of hearing the answer to that question.

Saniwa bit onto her bottom lip, feeling genuinely guilty for saying such things earlier. She was just being dishonest to her feelings for Tsurumaru, since it was embarrassing for her to admit them and it was even worse when Tsurumaru knew of her true feelings. Truth is, she always saw herself as just Tsurumaru's sword and nothing else and she wanted their relationship to remain that way--as master and sword.

The relationship Saniwa and Tsurumaru had was odd, needless to say. Saniwa had arrived in Tsurumaru's citadel and immediately, she fell for one of his pranks, which was walking into one of his handmade pitfalls. Apparently Tsurumaru liked her reaction so he continued pranking her by replacing her sword with a plastic sword for dispatch missions and giving her jack-in-a-boxes numerous times. Saniwa couldn't get through a day without falling for Tsurumaru's childish pranks at least thrice a day.

Then one day, Tsurumaru called Saniwa into his office for what he claimed to be a 'serious matter'. Saniwa had doubts but reported anyway since it was an order from her master, but never did she expect for Tsurumaru to confess to her out of the blue. She had assumed that it was another prank but was elated anyways, although she made it seem as if she didn't think much about the confession. She accepted it anyway, thinking that Tsurumaru would tell her that it was another prank but it never happened.
