the windows are a passage, the open gate
to my friendliest friend, the core of my faith
it crawls in the morning to whisper hello
and every evening it waves as it goes
it's summertime strawberries and acoustic guitar
though sometimes it strays it never goes far
the dirt roads with deer grazing by
it never harms me, it never tries
it's the body of sunlight that floods in my room
if it vacates it'll come back soon
it'll play the music in my ears
when I call out it always hears
its warm arms hug me in good times and tough
and when I feel alone it whispers "you're enough."
