Chapter 15: What happened?

At first, it was only him that was talking.

'I understand if you hate me, but please let me explain'

None of the messages were read.

I kept scrolling up, reading basically the same thing over again. I scrolled until I finally saw a message with a gray background, meaning it was from me.

'R u coming tonight?'The message was sent exactly two weeks ago.

'I dont think so, maybe. it depends if my boss lets me off early' He had responded with.

'okay, i hope to see you there'

That was two weeks ago. Were we talking about the party?

I kept reading the conversation, not knowing what I'd find.

Let me just say this one final time, it was not my intentions to go through his phone. Meaning I had no idea I would find out so much information from just a few simple texts.

'Hey ashton,' I had scrolled upward for about twenty seconds, seeing how much I could find within these messages.

The conversation I was looking at dated a little more than three months ago.

'Yeah?'

'You like Rebecca, right?'

Who the heck is Rebecca?

'um, yeah she seems nice. I haven't really talked to her much, but she's cool I guess'

I laughed at how awkward he seemed. I still had no idea who this Rebecca chick was, but it seemed like I was asking Ashton about a crush or something? I'm guessing.

'I think im going to propose to her'

I dropped Ashton's phone onto the floor.

Did I read that wrong?

I picked the phone back up, to double check.

When I realized I read it right, I dropped the phone again.

'im not sure yet, i was going to ask you. what do you think i should do?'
