"Don't think I didn't feel that wave of magic. What. Did. You. Do?" Selene greeted Cal as he returned home with Ophelia in his arms.
"Oh. You know, I was just shouldered with more responsibility and pressure." Cal shrugged as he carried Ophelia through the house and to the bedroom.
"You need to know when to say 'No', Cal. Don't you have enough on your plate?" Selene tucked Ophelia in and slid the fox plushie into her arms.
"Gaia is a hard one to say 'no' to, Selene." Cal kissed Ophelia on the head.
"GAIA!"
Cal shushed her as Ophelia stirred.
"You met Mother Gaia? THE Mother Gaia?" Selene whispered.
"I'm just as surprised as you are." Cal sighed.
"I really need to stop being surprised," Selene sighed as she and Cal left the bedroom.
"You'll never guess what she wanted." Laughed humorlessly.
"For you to save the world?" She wished that wasn't the case.
"Ha! Not exactly my M.O. I'm more of a force of ultimate untethered destruction and passive city development." Cal laughed.
"Tooting your horn much?" Selene bumped his shoulder.
"Just a little," Cal smirked. "She wants me to take stray gods into my Pantheon."
Selene's eyes rounded at his declaration. "Is that really wise?"
"Wisdom isn't the issue, the other gods are. I guess there aren't many full pantheons left after the Age of Great Ones. They've made a council and are currently trying to decide on whether the dark army or the God of Perils is the greater threat." Cal walked into the living room that was conjoined with the kitchen and dining area and plopped down on the couch.
"That's ridiculous!" Selene protested.
"Is it? Maybe I haven't told you enough about my adventures, you realize I didn't earn the title of God of Perils for being a nice guy. I'm to blame for fragmenting several of those pantheons on my own. I even took on the full might of a whole Pantheon and their armies, and only left three survivors." Cal said off-handedly.
"Well when you put it that way, even I'm a little unsure about the man I'm marrying." Selene sat down next to him.
"Hey." Nudged her shoulder playfully.
"Think about it though." She laced her fingers with his. "I finally found you after all these years to learn I'm a fabrication given life. and the man that invented me is someone that was so fearsome he become a god, and not just any god, one that the other gods fear. As a Priestess in service to a Divine Dragon for hundreds of years how am I supposed to process that?"
"Well, at least I'm not the only one fumbling around in the dark." Cal sighed letting his mask slip.
"And now Gaia is relying on you. It doesn't seem possible that I'd be able to just sit on the couch here with you and be happy like this after putting your daughter to bed. It's so surreal." Selene leaned her head on his shoulder.
"It's often the simplest pleasures in life that grant the greatest satisfaction." Cal leaned his head into hers and the sweet feminine smell of her hair invaded his nose. It eased his worries and he felt the tension leave him as the simple moment of normalness defied all the fantastical events of the evening.
"There you go, making me fall in love all over again with a few simple words." Selene tilted her head up to look Cal in the eyes. They were full of want and love. "Kiss me..."
Under the seductive undertones of her sleepy eyes Cal felt himself fall completely under her power. Leaning in, he captured her lips and felt his body melt under the softness of her kiss. Selene moaned in satisfaction as she claimed those lips. She wanted them... no, she needed them. She needed to drown in them with a fire she hadn't realized she had just ignited.
Reaching her hand up she felt the hard muscles of his chest and shoulders as she trailed her fingers up into his hair. She found her hold and dove into the kiss with a ferocity that she didn't understand. She'd never kissed anyone like this. She didn't understand what this meant, but only comprehended that she wanted more, and when Cal's warm tongue teased her lips, she no longer cared about what was lady-like or proper.
This was the man she loved. The man she dreamed about. The man she longed for. Under his gentle but firm guidance she let herself be turned as he pulled her legs over his so that she was sitting sideways in his lap with her knees together. Wrapping both arms around his neck she let herself be consumed by the moment as a moan from him sent shivers through her body. A hunger developed as she was consumed by the passion of the kiss. She pursued the feeling as she enjoyed herself being sucked in to his ruggedly manly body.
Cal couldn't believe the softness of the woman in his lap. The small body that curled in his arms perfectly like her waist was made to have his arm around it. The plush thighs that pressed into his legs distracted him as much as the deceptively well-developed chest that eagerly pressed into him. All the while, her inexperienced but ravenous tongue searched his mouth as if trying to memorize every detail. He almost didn't realize that his hand had slid down and cupped her butt with a perfect handful of heavenly softness.
He realized that his hand had been glued to her bottom for far too long when she broke the kiss and moved from his lap.
"I'm sor-" he tried to apologize.
"Shut up." she said as she pulled up her kimono to straddle him properly and then returned to kissing him. Cal didn't know where to grab as the milky thighs around him threatened his sanity. But without wasting any time Selene grabbed both of his hands and guided them along her thighs until they were behind her cupping the bare flesh of her perfectly round ass.
The sensation drove Selene mad, she wanted his hands all over her and those clothes were so stifling. With both hands she pulled open the front of her Kimono as if she was going to tear it off completely.
"M-Mother!" Someone screamed in a voice that sounded scandalized.
A second voice cleared her throat.
Selene turned to see Achilles and Yvette standing by the entrance. She looked at Cal, whose flushed face kept looking at her chest to her face to somewhere away and back again. She realized the severity of the situation of her compromising position with Cal's hands up her skirt and with her bra on full display in his face as she prominently held her clothes open.
She quickly rediscovered her shame as she slammed her clothes closed and scooted to the opposite side of Cal so that she was no longer straddling him. She kneeled on the couch and buried her head in the back of the cushion next to Cal's shoulder. A healthy layer of steam came out of the top of her head as she whined in embarrassment.
Cal cleared his throat and promptly crossed his legs.
"Seriously, you're getting as bad as mom and dad. This morning I thought they were going to make another kid in the kitchen." Yvette sighed while Achilles was still comprehending what she had just seen as the image of her mother tearing open her top replayed in her mind. All while she was attacking Cal's mouth with pubescent ferocity.
"Um yes, can I help you?" Cal said as Selene's lipstick still stained the corners of his mouth.
"We simply-" Yvette tried to say.
"What were you doing to my mother!" Achilles demanded.
"Honestly...? I just got caught up in it... and whatever it was I have to say I liked it." Cal blushed while looking nowhere in particular.
"Don't give me that! Mother is a lady and she would never do anything like that! Right, Mother?" Achilles accused.
Selene gave another embarrassed whine as she tried to bury her face deeper into the cushions of the couch.
"Mother!"
Selene unglued her face from the cushion and sat on her heels before turned shyly toward Achilles. With one hand she held her Kimono closed and with the other she tucked a stray hair behind her ear. "I mean... I'm a woman too." She smiled cutely and it caused Cal to blush even more.
