"I don't know about this..." Your mom trailed off uneasily, both of you walking through the hospital's entrance and heading towards the front desk. "It was a good idea and all, but—"

"Mom, everything will be A-okay." You cut her off and held her hand, giving it a squeeze to calm her down a bit. "Let's just ask and see if this works. If it doesn't, that's fine. But we'll never know if we don't try it, now will we?"

"You're right, dear." She flashed a weak smile, still looking peaky and exhausted. "I guess the lack of sleep is making me feel more anxious than usual." After giving her hand another squeeze, you approached the front desk - deciding to talk instead of your mom.

"Hi there! How can I help you today?" The receptionist behind the desk greeted pleasantly, "Do you need to make an appointment and see someone about a problem? Or are you here for a refill on a particular type of pill?"

"Um, I'm here for a refill on pills." You chose the second option and shifted foot, growing a little nervous.

"Okey-dokey, what pills?" She nicely asked, her face friendly and not acting fake at all.

"I'm currently on pills called Hypnocil." You answered truthfully, trying to smile and act normal. But that always seemed to fail.

"Ah, the dream-suppressing pills." The receptionist smiled back at you and pulled out a large notepad, flipping through the pages. "It seems that more and more people are starting to need Hypnocil. I wonder why...?" She mused quietly - you not knowing if she was talking directly to you or to herself.

"Name?" She inquired a few seconds later, looking up from the notepad - not knowing who you were on the list of people's names.

"Oh, my name's—"

"Ah, (Y/n). How nice to see you again." A polite voice came from the side, the three of you turning to see Hannibal standing there and holding a few folders in his hands. "Nice to see you as well, Ms (L/n)."

"It's nice to see you too." You shyly responded, your heart fluttering for some strange reason as you interacted with him. Perhaps you were still intimidated from the showdown at Crystal Lake? No, because you'd talked just fine when you were at his house. So what was going on...?

"Ah, Dr. Lecter." The receptionist spoke respectfully, "I hope that you're having a good day so far, and not feeling too stressed out."

"My day could be going better. Much appreciated though, Isabella. I pray that you're having a good day?" Hannibal walked towards the front desk and stood relatively close to you, flashing her a smile.

"My day's going fine, thank you for asking." The receptionist dipped her head and smiled back, "I was just about to prescribe this girl some Hypnocil, but I need to know her full name so I can give it to her."

"It's (Y/n) (L/n)." Hannibal answered for you in a calm tone, "And it was me who prescribed it, I believe."

"Ah yes, I've found your name." She spoke to you and passed you over a small bottle of Hypnocil pills - enough to last a month, like last time.

"Thank you." You thanked in relief, your mother breathing out a second later.

"I hate to trouble you, (Y/n) dear," The dark-haired male started speaking to you and so you swivelled your attention back to him, "But would you mind if I could have a few minutes of your time in my office?"

You were confused, but after seeing the serious look in his eyes, you decided to comply and passed the Hypnocil to your mother. "Sure." You awkwardly agreed, feeling unnerved while you followed him - leaving behind your mother and the receptionist.
