Molly's POV

"Hold me," I tell Calum as soon as he opens his front door. I move forward, holding onto to his torso tightly, burying my face in his shirt. He laughs, pushes the door closed, and locks it before holding onto my body tightly.

"What's up, babe?" He asks, running one hand through my hair. "Here, come here." He gently pulls me off of him, taking my hand. He starts pulling me over towards the living room. I kick off my flip flops and follow him. Calum sits on the couch and pulls me down onto the spot between his legs. I lean back, resting against his chest. He reaches down and intertwines our hands, making me feel a little better.

"I just want to figure this all out," I say softly, staring at our intertwined hands, "That Psyche text earlier was because someone saw Shockwave go into a building and thought hideout. It was a trap, and I fell for it. But I did finally get to meet her partner, Aftershock."

"Hold up. She's got a partner now?" Calum double checks. I can hear the worry in his voice.

"Yeah. She's just a teenager like me. He's some escaped convict/ Tremor enthusiast. He has powers now though, which is super weird. They're like Tremor's and-" I stop.

"What is it?"

"He used them earlier, but the earthquake was insanely weak. It barely affected my balance at all, and it really took a toll on him. He was struggling to even stand afterwards." I sigh deeply, closing my eyes, "I don't even know anymore. But I'm tired of thinking about this right now. Help distract me, Calum." He stays quiet. Then his lips brush against my neck. I tense up, gripping his hand tighter. Calum plants a few light kisses along my jaw before slowly sucking on my neck, leaving a dark purple hickey. I whimper against his touch, getting more desperate for him.

"Better?" Calum whispers, his warm breath hitting my neck. I turn around and move onto his lap, my legs wrapping around his waist. My arms go around his neck. He grips my hips, pulling me down against him.

"Not quite," I reply, my voice quiet. I press my lips against his, kissing him fiercely.

"Wow," I breath out, staring up at the ceiling. Calum laughs and pulls me over against him, burying his face in my neck. I smile contently, closing my eyes as we cuddle.

"I love you, Molly," he tells me, holding onto my body tightly, "So, so much."

"I love you too," I whisper, brushing his hair out of his face. He smiles at my touch, his eyes closed. He holds onto me tightly, holding my body against his.

"When do you have to go home?" He mumbles into my bare shoulder.

"I don't," I respond, closing my own eyes as I hold onto his arm, "I told Luke I might spend the night at Felix's." I wait for Calum's grip to tighten around me, his subliminal way of expressing jealousy, but it doesn't come. I bite back my grin.

"Good," Calum agrees, "Stay with me, Molly."

"Always," I answer, sighing contently. We both drift off to sleep.
