Mother Earth: Untold

by: composmentisgirl

A damsel so virtous and pure
Her beauty is her vantage and lure

Tantalizing trees and crystallized skies
Refreshing waters where marine life lies

Enormous mountains and vast lands
Terrestrial species and alluring plants

Breezing air inhaled to the lungs
Astonishing birds fly above the ground

It was a peaceful and perfect century
And she was overwhelmed, contented, and happy

But then an unexpected chaos arrived
There was these humans equipped and fully armed

Bringing new piece of modernazation
Sending knew knowledge of civilization

She accepted this woeful fact
Because of her undying love she didn't react

She was bruised, stained and wounded
She was already crying and shouting,  but she endured it

Contaminated seas brimed with rubbish
Consumption of natural resources that are lavish

Decreasing numbers of animals
From different countries and landmass

Poisoned lands and polluted air
In this modern world, does Mother Earth still matter?

Homo sapiens sapiens,

Move now before it's too late
Mother Earth is gracious and is willing to wait

Make a change before we'll suffer
She might be humane but she can also be the destroyer
