New year, new hope
But it feels like holding unto a frail rope
Disasters come and go
But a poisonous virus just won't let go
A pandemic had arisen
Economic rate has instantly fallen
While humans grumble in pain and suffering
There she is, our Mother Earth who is slowly healing
The first wave crushed onto humanity
The pillars took action but lacked equity
The pigeons are weeping, the vultures are laughing
How can we heal in a land where falcons are living?
A simple way there is.
A recipe of love and care garnished with unity, is pure bliss
Don't forget the most important ingredient, can you guess?
Look at the mirror and reflect, self-discipline it is.
