Y/N's POV
I glance over my appearance, taking in every tiny detail from my outfit. I'm wearing a light yellow crop top, some light washed ripped jeans, and some white slip on vans. Deciding I look good enough, I nervously run my hand through my h/l h/c, trying to tame it and make it look presentable, but quickly give up and get my bag and shove any necessities I need.
I check my phone and see Alex has texted me.

Today was the day I got to meet his family, which included his mom Penelope, his sister Elena, and his grandma Lydia. Out of all of them i'm most scared to meet Lydia, and she's just his grandma. All these thoughts cloud my mind and before I know it i'm outside Alex's apartment complex. I text him and tell him to come down for me.
A few minutes later he comes down with a big smile on his face. Once he reaches me he wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me into him for a hug. I wrap my arms around his waist and let myself relax in his arms.
"Hey baby" he says once he pulls away.
"Hey" I say and just look up at him. He stares at me for a while and I can tell he knows how nervous I am.
"So you ready?" he asks.
"Are you kidding? I'm so nervous. I wasn't even this nervous for our first date, and I was nervous for that okay" I ramble for a bit and then stop myself.
"y/n, everything is going to be fine, they are going to love you." he says squeezing me in his arms.
"Yeah that's easy for you to say, you already know them." I say and continue to freak out. He obviously notices this and grabs me by my chin and pulls me in for a kiss. It catches me a bit by surprise, but I quickly kiss him back, letting his lips take away all of the stress. The kiss doesn't last long, but it still helped with my nerves.
"You're going to be fine, now let's go, they have been dying to meet you" he says and pulls me into the apartment complex. We quickly arrive at his apartment and stand outside the door for a bit. As he's about to open the door, I stop him and check my outfit and pull out my phone to check my makeup and hair.
"Hey come on, you look beautiful, just like you do every single day." he says and makes me put my phone up. I put my phone up and blush at his comment. Giving myself one final pep talk, I give him the go ahead and let him open the door.
He opens the door and pulls me in behind him.
"Hey everybody, there is somebody I would like for you all to finally meet, this is my girlfriend, Y/N." he introduces me.
"Hello everyone, it is so nice to finally meet you all" I say and head over to say hi to all of them.
The first one I greet is Penelope. "Hello Penelope, it's so nice to meet you, i'm y/n y/l/n." I say introducing myself and giving her a hug. "Hi y/n it's such a pleasure to have you here, and to finally meet you, wow Alex was not kidding when he said you were pretty" she says and I can hear Alex say "Mom!" from behind me. I laugh at that and thank her.
Now Elena. "Hey Elena, i've seen you around school, it's so good to meet you" I say and give her a hug. "Oh yeah it's nice to finally meet the girl who has had my brother totally in love these past few months" she says and I just laugh and turn to see Alex turning red from what she had said.
Finally we have Lydia. "Hello Lydia, it's great to meet the other woman in Alex's life" I say jokingly hoping she gets it's a joke. "Aah please ,sweetie, the moment you came into his life it's like he didn't even remember me" she says and pulls a sad face. "Aw you poor thing" I say and pull her into a hug. "No really it's great to finally meet all of you" I say and turn to Penelope and Elena. "To be honest, I was really nervous to meet you all." I admit.
"Oh please y/n your perfect, why would you be nervous." Penelope tells me.
Dinner is fantastic. We have Lydia's traditional cuban food. I now know why Alex loves her so much. He wasn't kidding when he said her food was delicious. Throughout dinner we held a small conversation, mainly about myself, but I didn't mind answering their questions. After dinner I helped them clean up ,which left Lydia pretty stunned by the fact that I offered to help clean up. Once I helped I went over to the couch and sat next to Alex, who was watching something on the television. As soon as sit next to him he pulls me close by wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
"You did great, they really liked you" he tells me.
"Yeah I did do pretty good" I say and smile up at him.
"Okay don't get too full of yourself now" he tells me. The rest of the time we just chill and talk until it's time for me to head home.
"Thank you all for having me over today, the food was delicious Lydia, I hope I can come over again to taste it again" I tell her.
"Oh sweetie you are welcome here anytime" Penelope says. I give them all quick hugs and head out with Alex who was just gonna walk me down. When we get downstairs, I pull him into a hug and we just stand there for a bit.
"I gotta go babe" I say and try to pull away, but he won't let me.
"I know I just don't want to let you go" he says and hugs me tighter. After some countless struggle, he finally lets go.
I lean up to give him a quick kiss, but he turns a simple kiss into an almost make out session. I get lost in the kiss myself and then remember I have to go home.
"Okay foreal now bye" I say and start walking away.
"Alright but just so you know we're so continuing this next time we see each other" he says.
"Yes babe of course, I couldn't bare keep my hands off of you" I say and kept walking away.
"Bye!" he yells out.
"Bye!" I yell back.
I get home a few minutes later and smile to myself when I walk into my house, remembering what a great time I had with Alex and his family. Turns out I was nervous for nothing.
