"Oh god it is so cold outside today." I say as Alex and I walk in the park. I am simply wearing a long sleeve shirt, I underestimated how cold the afternoon was going to be today.

"Which is why, I, your best friend, brought one of my sweaters for you." He says as he takes of one sweater he had on.

"How thoughtful and kind of you." I say with a smile on my face and let him help me put the sweater on me.

"Thanks." I say and wrap it around myself.

"No problem. It looks better on you then it does on me anyway." He says. The comment made my cheeks flush warm, the color red staining them.

Only if he knew how much his words and his actions affected me. Only if he knew how much I liked him.

"So then I had to grab whatever shoes I could find to help my mom the groceries, you know how impatient she is and I didn't notice that-" I cut myself off from my story I was telling Alex as I see that he isn't even paying attention to me. He's too busy staring at Nora who is standing down the hall. He's completely mesmerized by her. And I can't blame him, she's gorgeous.

"Are you even listening to me?" I say to him making him look away from her and turn his attention back to me.

"Yeah you said something about buying groceries and shoes." He said and quickly glances back at her and then back at me.

"See you weren't even listening to me because you were too busy staring at Nora, you creep." I say and roll my eyes.

"I'm sorry, I'll pay attention to you now. No more distractions." He says and turns his attention to me.

"It's fine, it was a dumb story anyways." I say and brush it off.

"Hey Alex." I say and look up from my homework. We were both currently at his place working on our homework together. However, I could hardly concentrate on it. My mind was clouded with different thoughts regarding what happened a few days ago.

"What's up?" He says and looks up from his paper.

"Why did you kiss me the other day?" I say.

Alex and I had settled down on the top of a hill that overlooked part of the park. The sun was beginning to set, the sky going from blue, orange, to pink.
