"Hello class," Mr. EU says, holding my shoulders tightly. Most would be freaked out, but I find it comforting. "This is Estonia. She's blind, so please try your best to help her."

"She should sit next to Finland!" someone yells out. I try to shrink further into myself as some students laugh. Finland's probably blind, maybe I'll make a new friend! I brighten up a bit.

"Russia, that's a detention." The same student yells something in a foreign language. EU cuts him off. "Iceland, can you help Estonia out?" After a few moments, I feel small, careful hands take my own and lead me. The person leading me, I think it's a girl, lightly asks people to stop poking me or to move their feet so they won't trip me.

They gently sit me down in a chair, adjusting my skirt so my legs are covered. "Thank you," I say.

"You're welcome. I'm Iceland, my brother Finland is sitting next to you, and the girl in front of you is Luxembourg," she continued to speak softly. Iceland reminds me of a therapist, but a good one. Not the one who pours window cleaner down your eyes during an episode.

"Is Finland also blind?" I ask excitedly. I've never had a blind friend before, it'd be nice to not be alone.

"Oh no, he's deaf."
