Chapter 9: Master Yoda

The Clone Wars have started and Obi-Wan and I are in a Jedi Council meeting, it has been two years since the fight with Count Dooku. During those two years, Obi and I were separated by the will of the Council, I had to stay here with Master Windu, and Obi, Anakin and Master Yoda had to go to Naboo for some negotiations. 
I was sitting in the hanger getting Obi ready for departure. 

"Be careful Obi, I want you back in one piece." I said to him giving him a hug. 

"Of course, I would like to see you alive as well." He hugs me back and I feel tears forming him my eyes, "Don't cry now, my dear. I will return."

"You have all my faith in you." 

"General Kenobi, your ship is ready." Cody says coming up to us, "We don't have much time left." 

I let go of Obi, "I love you." 

"I love you more than you can imagine, don't worry about me." He starts walking to his ship. 

"(Y/n), love is a dangerous topic." Master Windu says as he puts his hand on my shoulder, "Let us go back to the meeting." 

I walk out of the room with him, we continue walking along the hallways until we reach the Council meeting room. Windu opens the door and we wait there for anything to come through the ComLink. 

I suddenly feel a pain in my heart, I thought it must be because this is the first time Obi and I have been separated, our quarters are right next to each other so we have never been too far from each other.

I put my hand to my heart and clutch the clothing around it. 

"What's the matter Lady (Y/n)?" Master Windu asks.

"Nothing Master." 

The pain is getting worse, I start wincing at the pain. I see the floor getting closer and closer to my face. I feel a pain in my head, and everything goes black, the last thing I hear was Master Windu, "Lady (Y/n)!"

I wake up and I see Master Windu's face.

"What happened?" I ask him.

"You were having what looked like to be a heart attack, Master Obi-Wan was feeling the same so we called him back. Anakin is out there with Master Yoda, I'm sure they'll be fine." He answers as the door opens.

I feel Obi-Wan's presence.

I sit up and I see the short-haired man. He starts running towards me. I then feel his arms wrap around me. 

"(Y/n)! Are you okay? Are you hurt? Is it still Hurting? Master Windu how-"

"Obi, I'm fine, are you alright?!" 

"Yes, I was alright as soon as I landed in the hanger." 

"I cannot believe that late Master Qui-Gon Jinn put such a powerful bond on you too." Master Windu speaks, Obi lets go and looks at Windu.

"That was the bonding?" I ask the Master.

"Yes, my old Padawan. Master Qui-Gon's bonding was that powerful that you two cannot be separated. We need to tell this to the council when Master Yoda gets back." Master Windu stands up, "I'll leave you two alone."

"Thank you, Master." I say smiling at him.

When the Master leaves Obi-Wan comes sits on the bed.

"Was Qui-Gon really that powerful?" I ask Obi.

"Yes, one of the most powerful there was." 

"So we can never be apart?" I look at Obi but he just smiles.

"Looks like you'll be stuck with me forever." 

"Forever isn't long enough." 

I feel Obi's lips meet with mine, this feeling I'll never forget.

Obi's ComLink starts buzzing with Anakin's voice, "Master! Master! Are you alright?"

"Yes, Anakin, everything is alright, (Y/n) is fine too."

"Good, we are landing in the hanger now, the mission has been completed."

"Come to medical room 2."

"Yes, Master."

After a few minutes, Anakin and Master Yoda walk into the room and greet me.

"Troubling this is." Yoda says, "Council meeting we will hold." 

Master Yoda walks out of the room and we follow behind him. 

When we reach the council room the door opens and Obi-Wan and I step in, Anakin leaves as he was not summoned. 

Obi and I take our seats, next to each other, as usual.

"Master Obi-Wan, Lady (Y/n), have you something to say?" Master Windu asks.

I stand up and walk over to the centre. Obi follows behind me. 

"Earlier in this same meeting, my chest started to hurt, General Skywalker reported that Master Obi-Wan was experiencing the same pain." 

"I was sent back to recover, but Master Yoda was on the ComLink with Master Windu, who said that Lady (Y/n) was experiencing the pain too."

Gasps are heard from the Masters in the Council.

"I believe it was the bonding that late Master Qui-Gon Jinn placed on us." I say looking at the ground. 

"Yes, a curse or a gift?" Master Yoda says.

"If they are separated from each other for too long, I am afraid that they could die." Master Windu says looking at Master Yoda. 

"Yes, agree I do." Master Yoda says looking at us.

"From now on, every mission Master Obi-Wan goes on, you go to Lady (Y/n)." Master Windu says looking at us, "On the same ship at the same sector." 

"Yes, Master." Obi and I say as we bow and return to our seats.

"Adjourned this meeting is." Master Yoda says standing up.

"Lady (Y/n), Master Kenobi." Windu says coming up to us, "I would like to have a word with both of you." 

We walk out together and Master Windu pulls us into the archives.

"I don't know if your relationship with help with the bond that Master Qui-Gon put on you or if it will make it harder." 

"I am confident that it will help us." Obi says to Windu.

"Unclear the future of this relationship is." A voice says, it sounds like Master Yoda.

I was right, Yoda jumps down from the ceiling and right in front of me.

"You been in this relationship how long have?" Yoda asks us.

"12 years Master." I say bowing. 

"Been sensing attachment I have. Hrrmmm." 

"How long Master?" Obi asks him.

"Since you two met." Yoda answers, "Against the Jedi order although it is. I will allow it. Hmm."

"Really Master?!" I exclaimed looking at the small green Jedi.

"Yes." 

We watch as Yoda walks away, "Let this cloud your judgement do not. Hrrmmm. Trusted 12 years of a successful relationship this is. Yes, hrrrm." 

"Thank you Master." Obi and I say bowing to the Masters.

"Remember, do not influence the Younglings or any Padawan with this attachment." Master Windu says walking away from us.
