Anakin carries Obi to the elevator doors and I press the button. Palpatine joins us.
"The elevators not working." I press my ComLink, "Artoo..." I wait for his response, "Activate Elevator 3224."
Suddenly the ship shifts to the side and the Chancellor is thrown to the ground.
We are now hanging on the side of a bottomless elevator shaft. I feel Obi-Wan wake up.
"Easy... we're in a bit of a situation." Anakin days and I chuckle.
"Did I miss something?" Obi says confused as hell.
I look up and see the elevator heading towards us!
"Hold on." Anakin says.
"What is that?" Obi questions as they both look up and watch the elevator coming down at a high speed. "Oops."
"Artoo, Artoo, shut down the elevator!" Anakin screams into his ComLink.
"Too late! Jump!" I say letting go of the side. The others. After falling a few hundred feet, we fly through the elevator door and land.
"Let's see if we can find something in the hangar bay that's still flyable." Obi says smirking.
"Artoo, get down here. Artoo, do you copy?" Anakin questions into his ComLink.
It is extremely windy and big and pieces are being sucked into space. The hangar bay doors are closed. We stop in a doorway leading to the hangar bay.
"None of those ships will get us anywhere." I say to the group.
"I agree." Anakin and Obi say simultaneously.
"I hat are we going to do?" The Chancellor asks worried.
"I don't know..." Anakin says.
"Don't look at me. I don't know." Obi says raising his arms in the air.
Anakin's Star fighter has been sucked out of the hangar bay as is damaged... severely...
The ship suddenly turns on it's side.
"Here, Chancellor, Koch this around your waist, and hold on." Anakin says handing the Chancellor the end of a cable that is attached to his belt.
"We'll head toward the bridge and see if we can find an escape pod." I say smiling.
Anakin, Obi and I throw out utility cable to some pies in the ceiling and swing to a second set of pipes.
We finally make our way out and into a hallway.
"Well, that was close." Anakin, Obi and I say in unison before breaking out into a laugh.
We start running down the hallway when suddenly ray shields drop around us, we cannot move.
"Ray shields!" Anakin exclaims.
I take a deep breath to express my disappointment to the others.
"Wait a minute, how'd this happen?! We're smarter than this!" Obi exclaims to the group.
"Apparently not." I say sighing.
"This is the oldest trap in the book... well... I was distracted." Anakin says.
"I was distracted too..." I say quietly.
"Oh, so all of a sudden it's my fault." Obi sighs.
"You're the Master. I'm just a hero." Anakin says smiling.
"I'm open to suggestions here." Obi says fed up with Anakin and me.
"Why don't we let them take us to General Grievous. Perhaps with Count Dooku's demise, we can negotiate our release." Palpatine suggests.
