Obi and I turning off all of the remaining holograms, charts and maps.
"You missed the report on the Outer Rim Sieges." I say to the young boy.
"I'm sorry, I was held up. I have no excuse." Anakin says, not really regretting or caring about the report. As usual...
"In short, they are going very well. Saleucami has fallen, and Master Vos has moved his troops to Boz Pity." Obi says debriefing Anakin on the report.
"What's wrong then?"
"The Senate is expected to vote more executive powers to the Chancellor today." I say turning off the last hologram.
"Well, that can only mean less deliberating and more action. Is that bad?" Anakin pauses, "It will make it easier for us to end this war."
"Anakin, be careful of your friend Palpatine." I say.
"Be careful of what?"
"He has requested your presence." Obi says looking at me and then at Anakin.
"What for?"
"He would not say." I say hanging my head low.
"He didn't inform the Jedi Council? That's unusual, isn't it?" Anakin asks.
"All of This is unusual, and it's making me feel uneasy. You're probably aware that relations between the Council and the Chancellor are stressed." Obi says.
"I know the Council has grown weary of the Chancellor's power, mine also for that matter. Aren't we all working together to save the Republic? Why all this distrust." The boy says frustration lacing his voice.
"The Force grows dark, Anakin, and we are all affected by it." Obi says sighing.
"Be aware of your feelings." I say to the boy smiling.
Obi and I sit in the Council waiting for Anakin, Master Windu, Master Yoda, Master Koth and holograms of Master Mundi and Master Koon are there. Anakin soon enters and stands in the center.
"Anakin Skywalker, we have approved Your appointment to the Council as the Chancellor's personal representative." Master Windu says.
"I will do my best to uphold you he principles of the Jedi Order." Anakin says smiling.
"Allow this appointment lightly, the Council does not. Disturbing is this move by Chancellor Palpatine." Master Yoda grunts.
"I understand." Anakin says.
"You are on this Council, but we do not grant you the rank of Master." Master Windu says looking the boy square in his face.
"What?!" Anakin erupts in anger, "How can you do this?! This is outrageous, it's unfair... I'm more powerful than any of you. How can you be on the Council and not be a Master?"
"Take a seat, young Skywalker." Master Windu says pointing to a seat.
"Forgive me, Master." Anakin says bowing and taking his seat.
"We have surveyed all systems in the Republic, and have found no sign of General Grievous." Master Mundi says through the hologram.
"Hiding in the Outer Rim, Grievous is. The outlying systems, you must sweep." Master Yoda says humming.
"It may take some time, we do not have many ships to spare." I say to the Council who nod in agreement.
"We cannot take ships from the front line." Master Windu's says to the Council.
"And yet, it would be fatal for us to allow the droid armies to regroup." Obi says rubbing his chin.
"Master Kenobi, Lady Kenobi, our spies contact, you must, and then wait." Master Yoda says.
