Chapter 45: Lorna

"Here's your baby, it's a girl." One of the droids say handing the baby to me, she's beautiful. I look at Obi-Wan who is crouched beside the bed.

"She's beautiful." He says stoking her head.

Suddenly the door opens and Master Windu and Master Yoda walk in.
"I hope we aren't making a fuss." Master Windu says jokingly, "The entire Council is so excited about this!"

"No fusses here." I say laughing, I look back down at the baby, "Your Grandchild."

Master Windu asks up to the bed and smiles at the baby, "What's her name?"

I look at Obi and he rubs the back of his neck, "We haven't thought about that."

"Hrrmm." Master Yoda hums, "Thinking ahead, are we not?"

"Yes, that's very odd of you Obi-Wan." Master Windu says laughing.

"Well, I wanted to live in the moment, at least for this." He says laughing.

"Have a turn Obi." I say chuckling and passing our child to him.

He takes her in his arms and he rocks her back and forth, she's happy. But I know that we can all tell that the Force is unbelievably strong around her. It is radiating from her.

"I know you can tell Master Windu, we all can." I say smiling.

"We wouldn't expect less from your child." Master Windu says looking at the baby. "She'll be put in the nursery when you two are out on missions."

"What about her Grandfather?" I say chuckling.

"Unless you want me to take care of her when I am free, I can do that." Master Windu offers.

"I wouldn't force it on you." I say looking at Obi and the baby.

"I would love you (Y/n), even though she's not my biological child."

"That's wonderful!"

"Do you want to hold her, Master?" Obi ask Master Windu.

"Uh, I don't really know how to do that..."

"Just try it out!" I exclaim laughing.

A droid comes back into the room with a certificate, "When you name the child, right it down." The droid gives me a pen, "Also, no physical activity for the first week, you have to be calm."

"Of course, thank you." I say to the droid as it leaves the room.

I look at Master Windu who looks terrified! I have no clue why, "Everything okay, Master?"

"Yes, everything is fine..." He replies smiling me, "She is wonderful."

"First baby, a Jedi has." Master Yoda says, "Interesting it is."

"Since there is a no attachment rule." Master Windu said, "This is odd because it was willed by the Force, same as your mother's and father's relationship ship."

"Correct you are, Master Windu." Master Yoda says.

"Why it was willed, is another question." I say smiling at my baby.

"We need to figure out a name." Obi says looking at me and then at the child, "She resembles you." He says smiling.

"I think she resembles you more." I say laughing

We stay in quiet for a few seconds before I exclaim, "Lorna!"

"That's a really good name..." Obi says smiling, "I really like it."

As if Lorna could understand us she smiled and squealed!

"That's a wonderful name for such a wonderful baby girl." Master Windu says smiling down at the baby before handing her back to me.

"Baby Lorna..." I say. I give Obi-Wan the certificate and the pen. I watch as he writes her name down and he smiles.

"I think that your child should stay in your quarters while you're in at the Temple." Master Windu says as he turns around, "After this week we have a task for the both of you and Skywalker."

"Thank you, Masters." I nod my head as they leave the room.

I look at Lorna, she's so beautiful, she has stunning blue eyes. Just like Obi. I look at Obi who is smiling down at Lorna.

"She's wonderful." Obi says putting his arms around me, "Just like you."

"Aww, Obi you're so sweet." I say kissing his cheek, "I couldn't be able to survive without you."

"Don't say that." He says laughing and kissing my forehead.

I laugh and I get out of the bed with Lorna in my arms. Obi puts his arm around my waist and we find the droid that gave us the certificate.

"Excuse me." I say to the droids.

"Ah, Lady Kenobi, Master Kenobi, have you filled out the birth certificate?" One of the droids asks us.

"Yes, we have." Obi says handing the droid the certificate.

"Lorna Kenobi." He droid says, "She will be put in the database soon."

"Thank you." I say smiling.

"There is a cot waiting for you outside, fee free to take it."

We smile and walk out of the medical room, we put Lorna in the cot that was outside and we wheel her out of the medical wing.

Obi and I are walking and talking about whatever but then, Luminara and Aayla come up to us.

"Congratulations (Y/n), Obi-Wan!" Aayla exclaims loud enough for everyone in Coruscant to hear!

All of the people in the corridors start clapping and cheering. They start congratulating us.

"Thanks Luminara, Aayla..." I murmur under my breath.

"What was that?" Luminara says chuckling.

"Nothing!" I say with a smile in my face, "This is baby Lorna Kenobi!"

They look into the cot and see the baby, "Aww." They say smiling.

"She's beautiful." Luminara says, "I'm so proud of you."

"I agree." Aayla says smiling at me, "We best let you go, someone is waiting for you outside your quarters."

We say goodbye and leave the two, we head over to our quarters.

As soon as we arrive, we see Anakin waiting outside our room.

"Well?!" Anakin says running over to us and looking into the cot. "What's her name?"

"Lorna Kenobi." I say smiling at Anakin.

"That's beautiful." He says looking at her.

"Look! It's Uncle Ani!" I say to Lorna smiling.

We watch as she lifts her arms and legs up while giggling.

"She's wonderful, I'll let you have some time alone." He say leaving and waving.

We walk into our quarters and shut the door.
