Another Happy Landing (Obi-Wan Kenobi x Reader)

Chapter 28: Chancellor

The dinner was nice and pleasant, but I can sense the tension that the Jedi are carrying. The Duchess Satine is talking to Obi and is still trying! It frustrates me, but that's not the Jedi way.

"(Y/n)." Master Windu says, I turn my attention to him. "What is the matter?"

"Oh, nothing Master." He say laughing.

"You are my old Padawan, I know when you are upset." He sighs, "The Duchess?"

I look over at Obi and Satine, I know that Obi is loyal, but I can't help but get annoyed when she tries something. I turn to face Master Windu who is smiling.

"I'll be okay, Obi's a good man. If anything, Obi is the best man to be Force bonded with."

"I agree Master." I say smiling.

I look over at Obi who finally shrugs Satine off. I go back to eating when I feel something touch my leg.

"That's scandalous." I say smiling.

"Nonsense." Obi says laughing.

I put my food down and look at the man, he looks amazing in his suit and beautiful tidy hair, not that his hair is never tidy, it just looks tidier today.

"Finish your food." He says smiling.

I look back down at the dinner, not going to lie, I don't have much of an appetite, the food is too extravagant for me. It is a big portion and I don't eat much anyways.

"Obi, I don't think I can finish this." I say looking at the half full plate.

"Don't worry, neither can I Lady (Y/n)." I hear Padme say giggling. "I guess, we'll just have to give the rest to the boys."

"Master, do you want the rest of mine too?" Ahsoka asks Anakin.

"Uh, I'm not even sure if I can finish my own plate..." He says scratching the back of his neck with a sheepish smile.

"Well Obi." I say smiling, "All yours."

I push the plate towards him and watch as he is taken back.

"I am honoured to finish your food but, I'm not sure if I can finish both of them." He says pointing at his plate which has about a quarter left.

"But Obi..." I say putting on a puppy-dog look.

"I'll try my best." He says bowing his head.

"There's no try, only do." I say imitating Master Yoda.

"I will."

After everyone finishes their dinner, we all start talking together in groups, I am currently with Obi, Padme, Anakin and Ahsoka.

"(Y/n), how did you know someone was trying to shoot you?" Padme asks.

I look at the Senator and chuckle, "The Force, Senator."

I earn some giggles from Obi, Anakin and Ahsoka.
I feel someone's presence coming closer, Obi and I turn around and see that the Chancellor is coming to us, he seems as though he wants to have a chat.

"Good even Chancellor." I say bowing.

I feel everyone else now as well.

"I am very impressed by your leadership today in the face of danger, I can tell all of the Jedi respect you very much." He says smiling, "I understand why but I want to hear from another Jedi!s point of view." He looks at Ahsoka and smiles, "Padawan Tano?"

"Lady (Y/n) is very respected amount all of the Jedi, including Master Yoda and her old master, Master Windu." She looks at me and smiles, "She is very strong with the Force." He whispers towards the Chancellor's direction, "Apparently, she has an unbelievable amount of midi-chlorians..."

I roll my eyes and look at the Padawan, "Information that doesn't have a purpose." I say laughing.

"Did I mention that she is peaceful and very nice?" Ahsoka says punching my arm.

"Yes, Lady (Y/n) seems as though she is a very lovely person." He pauses and looks at Obi and I. "I've heard rumours about you two. Mind to explain?"

I look at Obi and nod.

"Well, when my Master Qui-Gon Jinn died, he used the last of his strength to use the Force and bond us together, this is called a Force Bond. Because we are bonded, we cannot be too far away from each other or we will both have extreme heart pain, it burns. I can also sense Lady (Y/n)'s emotions better than anyone else." He pauses and thinks, "We can also talk through telepathy."

"Telepathy..?" The Chancellor questions, "All of this is really... interesting..."

I smile at the Chancellor, "Anything else you would like to know?"

"Yes, there are rumours that you too are in a relationship." The Chancellor says, "I'm really interested in this because, if I'm not mistaken, that's against the Jedi Order."

"Yes, it is against the Jedi Order." Obi starts looking at me, "But, we have gotten the blessing from the Jedi Council to be in our relationship."

The Chancellor nods, "I approve of this relationship, two of the most advanced Jedi working together will benefit everyone, including yourselves."

He nods and we bow as he walks away.

"Was it a good idea to tell him about that?" Anakin says patting my shoulder.

"We'll see... in time..." I reply thinking.

"So mysterious, my dear." Obi says looking at me and smiling, "I agree."

The party ends and Obi and I head back to our transport. Shortly after we arrive at the Jedi Temple and go to our bedroom.

"Obi, do you know who this Lost Jedi is?" I ask sitting on the bed.

"I've heard stories, why?" Obi asks sitting next to me, he puts his hand on top of mine, "What's wrong?"

"I was curious about the Lost Jedi Sabine when Professor Huyang first mentioned it when I got Justice. I didn't get time to do any research about her." I say looking at him.

"We have a free day tomorrow so we can do some research tomorrow." He says standing up, "If you don't mind, I'd like to change out of this suit."

"Go ahead!"

I wait for him to come back out, I then go into the bathroom have a shower and get changed into clothes that start suitable for sleeping. I brush my teeth and head out of the bathroom.
I see Obi laying down on the bed with his eyes shut. I decide to do something I don't think I've ever done before. I quietly creep up to the bed, when I jump on him.

"Agh!" Obi groans as he opens his eyes. "What was that for!?" He exclaims rubbing my head.

"Nothing, I just felt like it." I say giggling.

I roll off him and lay down next to him. I turn to face him and shut my eyes.

"Goodnight, my dear." Obi says rubbing my cheek.

"Goodnight, Deary." I say falling into a gentle, peaceful sleep.
