"Coach said be ready in 5," Jamaal told me while I was on my phone.
"Yeah," I said while giving my phone all the attention simply because I was texting Jaelyn.

I turn off my phone completely and shoved it at the bottom of my duffel bag. I grabbed my helmet and headed to the team area where coach usually gives his short speeches before the games.
After the 5 minutes speech, our new quarterback, Kenny revs us up wit our traditional call and response chant.
"WHO NEXT?!" Kenny yells.
"WHOEVER!" We yell back.
