"Delilah..." Cheryl whispered as she shook her softly.

"It's your birthday, beautiful," Cheryl whispered again.

Delilah groans as she opens her eyes. "5 more minutes mommy." She said, her voice raspy.

Cheryl chuckled softly. "Delilah. Toni is on her way to take you to get birthday breakfast from IHOP." Cheryl told her, knowing she would jump right up.

Which she did. "Really? Yay!" She said, sitting up.

Cheryl smiled, moving hair out of her face. "Happy birthday!"  Cheryl said.

"Thank you." Delilah smiled.

"Okay. Let's get you dressed." Cheryl said, going over to Delilah's closet.

"Go brush your teeth," Cheryl told her.

Delilah sighed, going into the bathroom that was across the hall.

Cheryl picked out a purple T-shirt with purple shorts.

Delilah walked back out of the bathroom. "This is only for right now. I brought you an Adidas sweatsuit." Cheryl said.

"Okay, mommy." Delilah nodded.

Two soft knocks on the front door made Cheryl leave the room.

"Get dressed. I'll be back." Cheryl said, going to the door.

Cheryl opened the door and smiled when she saw Toni.

"Good morning." Toni smiled. "Where's the birthday girl?" She asked as Cheryl let her in.

"She's getting dressed. I'll go check on her." Cheryl said.

"Lilah. Toni's here." Cheryl told the girl.

"Ok. I'm ready." She said, placing her shoes on.

"Don't you looked pretty. And you even did your own hair." Cheryl said.

"Your growing up." She said, wiping fake tears.

"Your so dramatic." Delilah rolled her eyes, walking out of her room.

"Toni!" She cheered as Toni caught her in arms.

"Happy birthday, pretty girl." Toni smiled.

"Thank you." She smiled.

"Okay, you crazy girls. You better get going." Cheryl said.

"Wait. Mommy isn't going?" Delilah asked.

"She insisted that it only be me and you for breakfast," Toni told the girl.

"Oh. Well, later mommy. Love you." She waved as Toni lead her out the door.

Cheryl waved with a smile, closing the door behind her.

"Then I just went along with it." Toni giggled.

"So you hit the squirrel but it got back up?" Delilah asked.

"Yep. I mean, I thought I was gonna go to jail because that I was only 10. That dirt bike was a piece of work." Toni chuckled, taking a bite of her waffles.

"Wow. I want a dirt bike." Delilah smiled.

"Oh no. Your mother would kill me." Toni said.

Delilah giggled. "My mommy wouldn't hurt a fly."

Toni shook her head with a laugh.

"Literally. A fly was in the house yesterday and she refused to kill it." Delilah said with a firm nod.
