In Love With The Assistant

New Years Day.

Toni sigh as she sat in her study. Now that she was working from home.

"Mama." Delilah walked in. Toni turned with a smile.

Every time she would hear her daughter's voice it would bring a smile to her face.

"What's up, princess?" Toni asked, sitting Delilah in her lap.

"It's new years," Delilah said.

"I know, Lilah." Toni chuckled. "Okay. Just making sure you remember." Delilah smiled, jumping out of Toni's lap as she skipped out of the room.

Toni took a deep breath. She was feeling anxious today.

Toni was gonna propose today. She and Cheryl have been going together for 3 months and the love they have for each other is extremely strong.

So tonight at midnight, Toni was gonna get on one knee. But not only for Cheryl, but For Delilah too.

No, she wasn't going to ask her own daughter to marry her, it was more like a promise.

But Delilah didn't know, She just knows that Toni was going to propose to Cheryl.

*Flashback*

"Lilah," Toni said, entering Delilah's room.

Delilah looked up from her picture book. "I have something to ask you," Toni said.

"What is it?" Delilah asked.

Toni sat on her bed. "I want your blessing to propose to Cheryl," Toni said.

Delilah smiled widely, jumping in Toni's arm for a hug.

"I take that as a yes." Toni giggled.

*End of flashback*

So. She has Cheryl's ring and Delilah's ring hidden away.

"You got this, Topaz. They are the loves of your life. You got this." She whispered to herself.

Toni sat on her bed as she played Fortnite.

Cheryl walked in the room, hugging Toni from behind.

"Hey, baby," Toni said, her eyes still on the screen.

"Hey," Cheryl said, looking over at the screen.

"What is so good about this game?" Cheryl scoffed.

"It's just fun." Toni shrugged as she added another kill to her 40 kill streak.

"Oh well. I'm about to make dinner. Whatcha want?" Cheryl asked.

"Chicken Alfredo," Toni replied.

"Okay. I'll call you down when it's done." Cheryl said.

Toni nodded. "Can I get a kiss?" Cheryl asked with a pout.

Toni pecked her lips, then went back to the game.

Cheryl rolled her eyes, leaving the room.

As it got closer to midnight, Toni's heartbeat would pick up.

Every time the minute would change, Toni started to sweat.

" It's 11:58." Delilah said.

Toni nodded, changing the channel to the count down.

Then the clock changed another minute.

"10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1!" they cheer.

"HAPPY NEW YEARS!" Cheryl cheer. She turned around and gasp as Toni was on one knee.

Delilah squealed and jumped up and down on the couch.

Toni smiled as she looked up at Cheryl. "I had a whole damn speech planned out but words can't describe how much I love you, so I'm gonna get right to the case," Toni said, pulling a Cartier box out.

"Cheryl Blossom, would you make me the happiest woman alive and marry me?" Toni asked.

Cheryl covers her mouth as a sob came out.

She nodded. Toni smiled.

"Yes! Yes! Of course." Cheryl blurted out. Toni slid the ring on, standing up with a smile.

She kissed Cheryl's lips with all the love in the world.

"Delilah get over here. I have something for you too!" Toni said.

Delilah raised her brow as she walked over to Toni.

Toni got on her knees in front of Delilah.

"I want to make a promise to you. I promise you that I will protect you if danger is involved. I promise you that I will love you unconditionally, and support anything you do. Okay? Mama loves you." Toni said.

Delilah nodded as she too got emotional. Toni slid the golden ring on her hand.

She kissed Delilah's forehead before picking her up to go hug a crying Cheryl.

"I love you girls. And I'll do anything for you." Toni smiled.

Cheryl chuckled as Toni finally got it right.
