Chapter 17: Need for Change

Third Person POV:

The scene starts with Ruby struggling against Roman without her weapon as she falls to the ground.

Roman: (laughing) Wow! You are much more manageable without that oversized gardening tool of yours.

Ruby goes to punch him but he simply sidesteps away making her stumble.

Roman: (laughing) Oh man. You know, Perry, I really did need this.

Perry raises his thumb up.

He then walks up and aims his Cane at Ruby's head.

Roman: But seriously. How'd you find this place, Red?

Ruby responds with a low growl as she activates her Semblance and speeds away.

Roman: Whoa!

He aims the handle of his Cane at her and fires the hook end grabbing Ruby by her hood and pulls her back.

Roman: I see you've got some tricks up your sleeve! Let me make this clear: We're not through here yet.

A sudden explosion is heard up above as Roman and the White Fang members look up.

Roman: Oh, what the... Perry, if you and the boys could take care of that? Kinda in the middle of something.

Another explosion is then heard.

Roman: (annoyed) WHAT is going on here?!

A third explosion occurs as White Fang members come running around the corner, as Y/N, Weiss, Yang, Blake, Zwei, and Oobleck come out from the corner taking more members down.

Ruby uses the opportunity to jump on Roman's shoulders and pull his hat down and runs over to the group.

Roman: (readjusting his hat and glaring after her) Somebody kill her!

The remaining members and him open fire on her as she dodges and weaves away from the projectiles.

Y/N: (Water Cannons!)

Y/N fires her guns and takes down more members with her two powerful shots of water.

Roman turns angrily to the White Fang members next to him.

Roman: Attach this cart and spread the word: We're starting the train.

WF Member: But we're not finished!

Roman then pins him against the wall with his Cane aimed at his head.

Roman: Do it or you're finished!

They both leave as Ruby continues her sprint towards the group as a squad of White Fang members block her path, until a large explosion knocks then away as Yang goes in to hug her sister.

Yang: Ruby!

Weiss: Are you okay?

Ruby: I'm fine, I'm fine! But listen! Torchwick's got all kinds of weapons and robots down there.
