You love her don't you?

I slumped down on the table inside of the base.

Cross glares down at me. "You're in my workspace."

I chuffle softly in weak protest.

"Hey...hey...whats wrong?" Cross turns purple as he went over to me. "Not well?"

"I couldn't tell Robin..." I shoved my face down into the table making loud chitters.

"Aww, don't worry there's always next time." Cross sighs as he tried to rub my back gently with his arm. I looked up from my face being buried in the table, my colors blue.

"You said I only had a week." I hissed, staring at my friend as my colors flickered red and then back to blue as I flopped my head down.

"Right. Just inform her now and the rest should fall in line, you don't even have to say you want to mate with her just say you felt feelings for her."

I sighed heavily as I looked out. "I can't...I...my body it--feels so warm and I'm afraid if I tell her...being with her won't have the same feel."

"Suit yourself. However, you act as if you don't know she cannot stay here with you forever until you make a decision." Cross walked to the side looking at the pillow I stored that she gave me.

"What are you emphasizing on?" I questioned, though I felt fear creep in by what he might say next.

"On your stay with her your mind has gotten somewhat duller by her interference...that you have forgotten the difference of life between Precursor and that of a Human." He touched his robotic arm against his chin as he was trying to inform me about the difference.

"I know that I am different from her." I stomped my hooves a bit as I stared at him, confused by what he might have been speaking of that I didn't know.

"You see. Humans have...insufficient organs and internal systems...Robin can die at any second." Cross looked away from me as I turned a dark grey color.

I didn't think about this...or rather...I didn't want to.

All this time with her each day her systems could fail easily without knowing, even if just one failed it would have had a horrid end.

"...I--" I paused not knowing what to say.

"...Secondly...Her Masters. What if they ask for her to return? what are you going to do then...just await her return to tell her? what if she never returns Al-an?" Cross looked down at me as his Robot arm gently took my arm. "I just...want to make sure nothing bad happens and you don't feel bad about what might happen in the future."

"...We cannot feel bad, we are precursors aren't we..?" I turned blue in color, Cross sighed as he also turned blue in color and pressed his robotic arm against my shoulder.

"...We use to be once...beings with feelings, but that doesn't mean it can't travel down simply because we change bodies and teach differently than before. We are mechanical beings yes but...that doesn't mean we don't hold feelings. we just try to hide it through our research." He muttered as he pressed his forehead against mine trying to calm me down.

"Tell her, I'll be with you all the way, brother. Tell her on your own time but just remember what I said..."

I nodded as I pulled away from him.  "Thanks."

"...Heh Anything for you Peeper." Cross shrugs as he walks off. "I envy you though."

"Bye." I waved softly as I looked back out and went to go search for a gift for Robin.
