Becca's POV

We've been in lockdown for a few days now and to say it was getting to Shayne was an understatement. I was dealing with it just fine due to the fact that video chatting to my mates is how I usually socialise. I will admit that I do miss going to work, though. It was weird not having to wake up at the ass crack of dawn each morning.

Right now Shayne was out walking Pongo and Otto. He had taken them to the dog park that was close by, the walk there and back would be enough for Pongo to handle with a rest in between. While the walk there and back plus Shayne playing fetch with Otto,  a game that Pongo hated, a few hundred times.

The local dog park has also painted white lines on the floor so people can still go and chat while following the rules. This was a lifeline for Shayne, he went there basically every day and without it. I've put a box with puppy wipes outside next to the front door so he can wipe them down before they come in so they don't have to have a bath since that would be horrible for their skin.

I was in the kitchen washing up.  I was wearing one of Shayne's hoodies, the cute pastel smosh hoodie, with a pair of white shorts. It was basically 2x too big but I love it. I woke up after he left so he has no idea but hopefully h won't mind, I mean I look cute even if I do say so myself. We're in quarantine, I don't need to dress to fit normal society anymore.

I was listening to Gabrielle Aplin while washing dishes because I can't stand to do it in silence and I wasn't in the mood for something like a video or podcast/audiobook. I don't know what made me want to wash them up more, the fact that the sink was full from last night as I made soup, enough to last us a while thanks to the wonders of freezing, and cookies. Or the fact that I still had no ideas for a song even though I've been working on writing a new one for days now with no luck.

Just as I finished Kintsugi started to play, my favourite song of hers and I just couldn't help but smile and laugh. There was no way now that I had finished I wasn't going to dance around like an idiot. I related to the song so much and it's my favourite type of pottery. When one of my favourite mugs broke I was heartbroken, sad I know, but when I looked at it I thought I could easily glue it back together so I googled it to see if it was a good idea. That's when I found out that there was a whole Japanese art form around it. I just had to order a kit and try it out. The mug is still my favourite and even more adorable now.

I even brought it with me because, well a gal can't be without her favourite, mug right? That can't just be me, can it?

I was so lost in the song, my terrible dancing and singing along here and there that I didn't see Shayne was stood at the front door filming me with a dumb smile. My boys were sat next to him wagging their tails but panting their heads off, looks like Shayne really wore them out.

As the song ended I looked over at Shayne and just laughed. I mean what else was there to do in that situation, I looked like an idiot but it was one of my favourite songs so I couldn't not dance along to it.

"And that is who I'm stook living with. Think it's safe to say this is going to be fun." Shayne laughed as he ended the video, no doubt already on Instagram and Twitter, that should be fun to look at later on. I can see Hope and Raven's reaction to it already, can't wait for that zoom call, why that is a thing we are using now I have no idea but hey I guess it's easier to do group calls on than Skype.

"That's gonna be fun to watch back," I say as my laughter calmed down. "How was the walk?" I asked with a smile as I hopped onto the sofa immediately being engulfed in a dogpile on cuddle. Shayne joins me on the sofa and laughed at me yet again.

"Good, Pongo joined in with playing a little today, he's almost back to normal. I made sure he didn't do too much though. It was nice to catch up with the people at the dog park too. Everyone is asking  about you by the way and wishing you the best." He smiles. I smile at him and then hold Pongo's head in my hands.

"You feeling up to playing with the other doggos now. Well then your pain must be going away a little then. Soon I won't be able to keep up with you again." I said in a slightly babyish voice as I shook his head slightly from side to side before kissing him on the top of his head. Shayne laughed at me and shook his head a little.

"I think I threw Otto's ball a thousand times today, my arm is killing me." He laughed as he rubbed his arm.

"Told you to watch out, he will happily play fetch forever. Wouldn't you baby." I said looking at Shayne and then doing the same to Otto as I did to his brother.

"Your adorable, you know that. Also is that my hoodie?" He asked slightly confused.

"Why yes it is, very comfy," I said with a cheeky grin. He just shakes his head and laughs a little.

"So what do you have planned for the rest of the day Shay?" I asked with a smile as I sink into the sofa a little.

"Have a zoom meeting with Ian and the others to see how we're going to do about filming. We have a few ideas but it's not going to be easy." He said as he looking out the window. This situation is causing a lot of problems and it was stressing him out a little.

"I can join in if you like, I mean I am an expert at this sort of thing in a sense considering I've been doing this sort of thing already, kinda, with my mates since they're on the other side of the world," I say with a smile.

"That would be great Bea, it would really help to have your insight on this. I have no idea how we're going to be able to do videos for smosh games though." He said with a frown.

"Now I have ideas for that my friend, so relax a little." I joked a little causing him to smile.

"You want a cuppa?" I asked with a smile as I stood up to make myself one.

"That would be amazing, although could I have a coffee?" He asked with a smile as he looked up at me.

"As if I would make you anything else." I laughed as I walked over to the kitchen to get the mug out and boil the kettle. I had made a pot of coffee not too long before Shayne got back, some time in between finishing the washing up and dancing like a fool. I smiled at my kintsugi mug as I placed it next to his my favourite coffee mug and I couldn't help but feel like it represented us in a way. He was whole, or as whole as a regular person can be. While I was broken but glued back together I smiled at it like a dummy and carried on making the drinks while Shayne set things up for the meeting.

A/N Sorry this took so long but having to home school a 5-year-old who is so not too happy about not being able to see his friends and not wanting to do work since he's at home and doesn't quite understand whats going on is a lot harder than I thought.

If you have a kid/little sibling or just know someone who does I recommend telling them about Primary Leap, its this cool website that is full of worksheets in all subjects for all ages between 5-11. For the basic subscription, it only costs £8 for a months of being able to download as many of the 4146 worksheets. You cancel the subscription whenever you want, think I may only have it for this one month as I'm basically just downloading as much as I can now because it makes planning things I'll do with him easier. NO SPON I just think it's really useful and it's helping me out a lot as I don't have to worry about if what I find online will print out in a way that you can actually read what it says

ANYWAY, I have my laptop at my desk so hopefully, this will help me get another chapter written and uploaded today. I hope you guys are doing/coping well. Massive social distance hugs Bea. xxxx
