Anakin Skywalker's life was fantastical. He travelled to different planets every day, had the entire galaxy at his fingertips and one of the most intense understandings of the Force in history.

Your life was boring- compared to his, at least. You ran a small bakery in the city, and while you loved your quaint life, you couldn't help but wonder why Anakin was so enamoured by you. You had met years earlier, when you were both children and he had first been brought to Coruscant by Qui-Gon. You became great friends as he and Obi-Wan would visit your family's bakery between missions, and once you became teenagers you found yourselves falling in love.

When your parents passed away, the bakery was left in your hands, but you did a good job of running it successfully. Anakin would make sure to visit you often, but he had recently been busy with some intense Jedi missions. His mother passed away just weeks before, so you could understand why he hadn't visited in a while.

These days, you were updated through rumours that your customers would whisper to each other. You heard that Obi-Wan Kenobi had been kidnapped, and Anakin had apparently been kidnapped too. You hated not knowing for sure whether or not he was safe, but you couldn't exactly rock up to the Jedi Council and order them to tell you what was going on. So you continued baking bread and cupcakes, hoping Anakin would contact you soon.

One night, after you had locked up, you were wiping down the surfaces and pre-making some popular items for the morning. Just as you were about to take some cookies out of the oven, you heard the front door open which made your heart skip a beat. You had definitely locked the door, and nobody else had a key. There had recently been a surge in burglaries in the city, and your mind went to the worst case scenario.

Keeping your head down, you slowly walked across the kitchen and into your office. You opened the second drawer in your desk and took out a blaster than Anakin had made you keep for your safety. He hated being so far away from you for long periods of time, and not only were you a target for any enemies of the Jedi as most people knew of Anakin's affiliation with you, but it was also a rough time for crime in the city.

Holding the blaster up, you took in a deep breath and walked out of your office and into the kitchen. You had never even shot one before, but whoever the intruder was didn't know that.

The bell on the counter ringed a few times, making you wince at the sudden sound. You slowly turned the corner and jumped out, holding out the blaster. "Whoever you are, leave now before I shoot you in your chest, and then your face!" You didn't mean to sound so violent, but it was uncontrollable.

"I haven't been gone that long, have I?" His familiar voice sounded like heaven as you dropped the blaster, a smirk growing on his face. "You've forgotten me already?"

"Anakin!" You all but screamed, running around the counter and jumping into his arms. "I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too, darlin'," He replied, a grin on his face as you pulled back. "I'm sorry I've been gone for so long; there was a whole thing with the Clones, and Dooku-"

"I know, I heard," You cut him off, cupping his face. "I'm just glad you're safe." He placed his hand on yours and you frowned, noticing it had been replaced with a robotic one. "Oh my God, your hand!"

He let out a laugh, "Uh, yeah, I got injured on the job."

You held his new hand in yours, in awe of it. "That looks amazing. Does it work the same?"

Anakin held it up and moved his fingers, his eyes bright. "Just like a real one. Only better; it's more powerful."

You narrowed your eyes playfully, "Hmm, I'm not sure how I feel about you having even more power."
