Two months after the divorce, you were a mess. You were just as broken and shocked as the day Anakin told you he was leaving you, and barely an hour went by that you didn't break down in tears. Everything reminded you of him. Every outfit you owned, everywhere you visited, even the food you ate would trigger one of the many memories you shared with him.

A year after the divorce, you were getting better. You got a promotion at the architecture firm you worked at, and became a Chief Director. You lost a lot of your friends, seeing as you had met most of them through Anakin, but you had also learnt to love your own company. There had been whispers about him and the woman he had left you for, but you didn't pay attention to the rumours. You couldn't; it hurt too much to know that she was getting the love that you were yearning for.

"Have you got that report for me, Fallon?" You asked your assistant as you walked past his desk, who gave you a smile before holding up a white folder.

"It's all here, Mrs Sky-" He stopped in his tracks, his eyes wide. "Miss Y/L/N, I'm so sorry-"

"It's fine, Fallon," You cut him off, taking the folder out of his hands. You couldn't exactly be angry; he had spent three years calling you Mrs Skywalker, he was bound to slip up now and again. "Any meetings today?"

"Uh, there is an 11am with a representative of the Jedi Council," He saw you freeze up and held up his hands, "Don't worry, I double checked and it's only Master Kenobi attending. They're thinking of hiring us."

"Okay," You breathed out, your nerves calming a bit. Although you hadn't seen Obi-Wan in over a year, you remembered that he was much too kind and caring to let the divorce make him treat you at all differently.

11am rolled around sooner than you would have liked. You pulled together a portfolio of your most impressive work, as you were sure Obi-Wan had visited other architecture firms that would have pulled out all the stops to impress him. You and the other Chief Directors met in the meeting room, where there was an assortment of drinks and pastries laid out on the table.

You raised an eyebrow at your boss, "Do we really need this commission that badly?"

"It's not just the money, it's the reputation," Lexius answered you, stress evidently on his face. "Getting hired by the fucking Jedi? We'd be the greatest architect firm in the galaxy."

"Are you sure you wanna be here for this?" Your colleague, Marisa, asked with a worried look on her face. "They're gonna get here any second."

"They?" You asked with a raised eyebrow. "I thought it was only-"

"Ah, please come in and make yourselves comfortable!" Lexius suddenly called out as the door opened. His assistant led in Obi-Wan - who was then followed by none other than Anakin Skywalker, and a woman you didn't recognise.

You gasped as your eyes set on your ex-husband for the first time in a year. Your chest immediately began to ache. He looked just as wonderful as always, his beauty never failing to leave you speechless. You felt conflicted; his presence always made you feel safe, but now that had changed. It only reminded you of how broken he had left you, and how he wasn't yours anymore.
