"Look at his arm."

Another huge blast came in, Midoriya was destroying his fingers worse than before and causing everyone to look in horror and shock. Todoroki began to run at Midoriya, but slower than before as the frost covered his body.

He's slower, (Y/n) thought as she watched the match go on. Maybe he's so cold that one side is slowly getting to him. The heat must cancel it out so he doesn't get frostbite or hypothermia.

She watched as Midoriya yelled to him, but it wasn't loud enough for her to hear. Frost covered Todoroki's body as Midoriya punched him. Suddenly, a bright light came from Todoroki.

"What the..." she mumbled, getting up and jumping over Bakugo to get to the wall. She grabbed the wall, trying to find and sense the energy from Todoroki.

It was a blue and red energy, mixing like yin and yang. But it was too much for her, once she sensed its power, it caused her to yelp in pain, falling back from the wall.

"(Y/n)!" Bakugo yelled, getting up to get to her and catching her as she fell back. "What happened?!"

"I sensed the quirk energy," she coughed. "It was too much. So much energy..."

"It's okay, come on," Bakugo comforted her and helped her back to the seat. "Just don't do that again. Okay, you moron?"

(Y/n) nodded as she saw Todoroki using his left side. His fire side.

As there was a huge blast about to occur, she saw what was happening She once again leaped over the seats, grabbing the guard rail and creating a forcefield to protect the audience as much as she could, debris flying everywhere.

When the air calmed down, (Y/n) let go of the rail, falling to her knees. "Ow..."

She got up and leaned against the wall, wiping the blood from her nose. She touched the wall and sensed Midoriya and Todoroki, seeing Midoriya really hurt and out of bounds.

"(Y/n), are you insane?!" Bakugo barked as he pulled her from the wall.

"Midoriya is out of bounds," she sighed, looking down at the playing field.

"What?" Iida asked her, turning around from the arena and towards her.

"Todoroki won..." (Y/n) told him, leaning into Bakugo.

As Midnight announced Todoroki had won, she stood up on her own. She told Bakugo as she began to make her way to the bathroom, "I'm going to go get cleaned up."

As (Y/n) threw the cool water on her face, she couldn't help but think, I conducted my energy through the railing to protect the audience, I didn't know I could do that

As (Y/n) threw the cool water on her face, she couldn't help but think, I conducted my energy through the railing to protect the audience, I didn't know I could do that... maybe I could do attacks with them...

"Hey (Y/n)," someone knocked at the door, "you okay?"

She exited the bathroom to once again find Bakugo outside the door.

"You sure like waiting outside bathrooms for me," she quipped, feeling better.

"You looked tired, I came to check on you idiot," Bakugo told her, rubbing his neck while looking down.

"Were you worried?" she teased, crossing her arms.

"What? No, what're you talking about...?" He shot his head up at her, beginning to blush.

(Y/n) stared at him for a moment, letting out a sigh and beginning, "Katsuki... I--"

"(L/n)! Bakugo! What're you doing out here?" Uraraka asked, coming back from Recovery Girl's office.

"Just cleaning up," (Y/n) said, turning towards her friend as she asked, "How's Izuku?"

"He's getting surgery!" Mineta blurted out.

"Woah, is he going to be okay?"

"He should be fine, just trust Recovery Girl," Iida reassured her.

The next round was Iida against Shiozaki, and he easily beat her but just shoving her out of bounds

The next round was Iida against Shiozaki, and he easily beat her but just shoving her out of bounds. Next was (Y/n) against Tokoyami.

She stepped onto the stage as she remembered how it seemed like Dark Shadow didn't like the light produced from Kaminari's electricity--granted it was from a distance.

Maybe... it doesn't like light... good thing I'm based off daylight and it's a beautiful day, (Y/n) thought, preparing for the fight.

"Dark Shadow, rise!" Tokoyami commanded as the match began.

As Dark Shadow began to attack (Y/n), she put up a forcefield, building up the potential energy, letting off a blast that made Dark Shadow back up. But Dark Shadow came right back at her, not giving her enough time to block, that was when something clicked in her quirk. And suddenly, Dark Shadow was at bay, whimpering at a sudden bright light.

"Huh?" (Y/n) asked, looking at her hands and seeing pure blue light. "What the--"

"(L/n), did you know you could do this?" Tokoyami asked, trying to get Dark Shadow back in the game.

"No!" she screamed, looking between her now-glowing hands and arms.

Suddenly Dark Shadow attacked again, (Y/n) put out her hand to do a blast. She emitted a bright beam, causing Dark Shadow to fall next to Tokoyami. She rushed over, seeming to be floating slightly--immediately shoving Tokoyami out of bounds, her new energy form giving her more strength and speed.

"Tokoyami is out of bounds! (L/n) wins!" Midnight announced as Tokoyami fell out of the ring.

Suddenly, as fast as it started, the second form ended. (Y/n) was back to her normal state and extremely exhausted.

"Sorry, Tokoyami," she apologized as the match ended. "I didn't know I could do that."

"It's okay, we were a bad match. You overpowered Dark Shadow," Tokoyami reassured her.

As (Y/n) exited the ring and went up the stairs, she thought about the discovery, Maybe that's what my body has been preparing me for, the energy sensing, the bloody noses, the bigger fields. Maybe this is my new ability.

Maybe this is my new ability
