The info Ringo had come up with led to a dead end, Quincy was at a stage where he was about to lose his mind when that call came in from pops. "Get to the hospital now!"

Quincy jumped behind the wheel, turned the car around and tore away, tires screeching. As he drove like a maniac he couldn't help but berate himself some more. He should've been there...fuck!
Why wasn't he there? Why had he acted a fool at the hospital? Why was Sebby at the hospital? He had all these questions swimming in his head as he tore across town to Lakewood Memorial. A little more detail than 'get to the hospital now' would've been nice. What the hell happened? He hadn't so much as blinked in fifteen hours and counting, he was agitated and on edge.

Few minutes later, he pulled into the parking lot, the car was barely packed before he jumped out, and ran into the hospital. His pops stood up from where he was sitting by the waiting area when he saw him "Calm down." The man said.

"Where is he? What happened? Is he okay? Is the baby okay? Why you ain't call me sooner? Why is..."

"Breath son, you can't go in there like this." Tyrone tries but Quincy wasn't having none of it. Breathing was the least of his problems right now, So was calming down. He tried to go around his dad, only to be stopped.

"Stop! Try to pull yourself together, will you? The last time you was here was on some mess, so the last thing you wanna do right now is worsen the situation." Tyrone put his hand on his son's shoulder. "This is what i know so far, Spence said Sebastian was just found by the side of the hospital, dropped off. We don't know by whom, but he thinks it's some kind of message."

Quincy nodded, and tried to breath but it wasn't working. "Is he? Um... is he okay?"

"He's gonna be okay. He's sleeping it off right now, and the baby is okay as far as i know." Tyrone shifted uncomfortably for a second, then added. "Look, Spencer is in there, so you gotta keep it together no matter what he says, this ain't the time or place."

Quincy nodded again, he didn't trust himself to speak right now. Tyrone finally moved aside, letting him go. "Room 219." He said.

Quincy started to walk past his father when a thought struck him, and he paused. "How you know all this? I mean, why did the sheriff call you? Don't y'all hate each other?" Quincy asked.

Tyrone's usual put together demeanor cracked for a mini second, it was so quick that you'd miss it if you blinked. Then he cleared his throat, before responding. "Is that really important right now?" He deflected. And got a strange look from his son, before the boy nodded and walked off.

As Quincy made his way to Sebby's hospital room, a part of him wanted to run out the front door, taking his problems with him. He couldn't help but blame himself for all the craziness Sebby'd had to deal with lately. No one was kidnapping or knocking him up before Quincy came along. Quincy couldn't help but wonder if Sebby's dad had been right this whole time. Maybe he was no good for Sebby after all.

Before he could decide if he wanted to turn around and bolt, he was already in front of the room. He knocked lightly but didn't get any response, he hadn't expected one. So he opened the door gently and stepped in.

For a moment time froze.
Sebby was curled up in the middle of the bed, fast asleep. The sheriff looked up and got on his feet. Then Sabrina who was sitting beside her brother froze in panic, worry filled her face as if she was afraid they were going to kill each other.

Then the strangest thing happened.
The sheriff paused and took a close look at Quincy, while Quincy looked down and shifted uncomfortably. Then the man tapped Quincy's shoulder gently and said, "I'll give you two a moment." And left the room.
To say Quincy was shocked would be putting it mildly. He didn't know what he'd expected to happen, but it certainly wasn't this.

Sabrina stood up and hugged him, he wrapped his arms around her for a minute, then she pulled away. "I'm going to check on mom." The girl said and walked out of the room. Leaving him alone with Sebby.

Quincy walked over and took a seat where Sabrina had been sitting. He reached out and tucked a strand of loose hair behind Sebby's ear, then placed a soft kiss on his lips. He had a lot of emotions right now, a lot of things going through his mind. A lot of worry and anger and frustration, he needed to know who was responsible for this and what they were trying to say, but right now all he cared about was making sure Sebby was safe. From here on out no one was going to come one inch close to him, never again.

Quincy looked at Sebby's sleeping body, he looked so frail, and pale. Quincy laid his head on the bed and whispered everything he didn't have the courage to do when Sebby could hear.

"I'm so sorry bae, I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you and our baby. I'm sorry i wasn't there when you needed me, but I'm here now. And I'm never leaving you again. Imma be here for all of our baby's first steps I promise. Imma be here for his first word, imma be here for his first tantrum, and many many many years later, probably when he's fifty or sum, imma be here to walk him down the isle, or stand behind him when whoever does." He chuckled at his own corny joke. "And yes i know it's a boy, don't argue with me." Quincy finalized, smiling sleepily to himself. "I love you Seb."

Minutes laters he was fast asleep, as his breathing evened out he completely missed the small smile that crossed Sebby's lips before he drifted back off to sleep.

—————————-Tyrone—————————

Elsewhere in the parking lot Tyrone sat in his tinted Range Rover, waiting for Spencer. He'd sent all of his boys home earlier, leaving him in the drivers sit by himself.

The door opened not long after and Spencer got into the passenger sit, he looked exhausted. And for a moment Tyrone was sixteen again sitting outside the Jackson residence waiting for Spencer to sneak out. He smiled to himself at the memory.

"You good?" Tyrone asked.
Spencer nodded and leaned back on the car seat.

Tyrone leaned forward and cupped the back of the Sheriff's neck, he brought their lips together in a tender kiss. The kiss goes on for about a minute, it wasn't heated or anything, just gentle and comforting.

They pulled apart after another minute passed, and sat back in their respective seats.
Silence fell in the car, neither of them said anything even though they both knew what each other was thinking.

Eventually Tyrone broke the silence. "We gotta stop this Spence."

"I know."

"We had our chance and blew it, now it's theirs."

"I know."

They sat there for a moment longer, not saying anything, just feeling each other's presence before the final chapter of their love story ended.
