'well,' jisoo thought, 'what am i supposed to do now?'

the two of them were out in the gardens, walking along the pavement aisles surrounded by lush greenery. a slight breeze wafted through the air and the ground was damp-- an aftermath of the downpour that occurred not too long ago.

no words were exchanged between the both of them, and the only sounds that accompanied their movements were their footsteps and the soft ambience of trickling water from a creek further down the kim's residence.

"do you know?" seokjin asked in a gentle voice.

jisoo turned to look at him. his gaze remained on the route they have yet to encounter. she took a minutr to admire his features. his build was masculine with broad shoulders. his arms were tucked behind him and his stature reminded jisoo of a king. his side profile was pleasing to look at.

she turned her eyes way then responded. "no."

"our parents are arranging a marriage."

"for us?" she gasped.

"hm," seokjin replied calmly. "you can refuse if you don't approve of it. after all, it's you in the marriage and not them."

"what about you? do you want to get married?"

"i don't see any problem with it."

she pondered over her thoughts. if she were to get married, she could finally put all those people pressuring her to find a husband mum. she could finally make them shut up.

then again, she doesn't know seokjin. who knows what this adonis has to hide? he could be a criminal using his family's power to keep his crimes under the wraps. he could be an alcoholic with no control over his temperament, or he could be a person who disliked dogs. her poor dog, dalgom, would have to deal with an unloving house mate if that were the case.

if she were to marry seokjin, they would share a house so she wouldn't feel so alone all the time; however, that would depend if seokjin wasn't the type to party all night with his friends then come back home in the wee hours of the morning when he was barely sober.

"a marriage between two strangers is bizarre," she shrugged her shoulders, "we don't even know personal information about each other but they expect us to build a family."

"we could date."

"other people?" jisoo's eyebrow arched.

"each other." seokjin chuckled.

jisoo merely shook her head as she heard footsteps thumping from the guest bedroom of her apartment. she could tell that several things were knocked over onto the floor as a catena of curses left her visitor's mouth.

"hi, unnie," lisa popped her head out from the hallway. her hair spread out in different directions and her eyes, barely open. she was still clad in the body con dress she wore the previous night.

the two of them, along with chaeyoung, were out last night to celebrate jennie's engagement to jeon jungkook. after a wonderful and scrumptious dinner at a restaurant, the bride-to-be suggested that they should enjoy themselves at a friend's club. it ended up with jennie being picked up by her fiancé, jungkook, a mostly sober chaeyoung driving herself home and a drunk lisa clinging onto jisoo's arms for dear life.

"hello, lisa," she replied without taking her eyes off from her plate of food, "i'm hoping you had a good night's sleep?"

"of course," lisa smiled cheekily before bending down and jokingly placing a chaste kiss on her older friend's cheek, "thank you for taking care of me."
